  7. Cheers for the replies guys, much appreciated :).am just going to keep an eye on it, either that or not look in the rear-view mirror when I boot it! :)
  8. No, couldnt tell what colour it was as it was dark, only noticed it in the headlights of car behind.will keep an eye on it but dont think its anything major as it soon cleared and I havent noticed it any other time.im going to put it down to running a bit rich and not having been booted for a bit.shes running a DTA chip so it may be richened up at the upper end of the rev range, would that be right?
  9. Theres no nasty noises, pulls like a train and doesnt smoke continuosly on boost, just on the initial acceleration as it comes on boost.doesnt smoke when I shut off and she doesnt appear to be losing oil as the level on the dipstick hasnt changed since I changed the oil.just lately she hasnt been on boost for a bit so could it be unburnt fuel just burning off?.running no cats if that makes any difference.when she was at zedworld the other week jeff put her on the conzult thingy and all ok so dont think ats major :)
  10. As above, on way home tonight I noticed a puff of smoke in the headlights of the car that was close behind as the old girl came on boost.did accelerate quite sharply so am wondering if this is due to the fuelling spiking as it comes on boost and running rich.doesnt smoke any other time and both exhausts are quite sooty, but its like dry soot not oily soot if that makes sense :)
  11. Congratulations to you both :)
  12. I used those scales you can get for weighing suitcases or you could get a pretty good idea if you placed it on some bathroom scales.
  13. Am thinking of getting a driftworks hicas eliminater kit in the new year and im wondering how much difference they make to the handling?......is it a noticeable improvement?.
  14. One possibility is to let him know the weight and dimensions and see if he wants to arrange his own courier, thats what I did when I sold a calibra rear bumper to greece.all I had to do was package it in cardboard and wait for it to be collected and it all went smoothly.hope this helps :)

  17. Certainly is baz, the kettle looked like it had been down a coalmine for 6 months!
  18. Had a bottle of kingfisher (got a taste for it in india earlier this year) some piri-piri chicken and rice and spent the rest of the evening covering the entire house in sticky black crap as ive converted a set of rear lights to clear lenses.christ that sealant gets everywhere!!!
  19. I had the same problem with my black leather seats, they were dry and had light coloured 'cracks' on them and I got a kit from a place called The Furniture Clinic (they have a shop on ebay as well as a website).the kit came with a deep cleaner that cleans and opens the pores in the leather and a re-colouring balm the re-colours and softens the leather, a sponge applicator, buffing cloth,a pair of gloves for the balm (dyes your hands otherwise) and instructions.iirc it was about £35 with postage. I wasnt sure what it would be like, but was really impressed with it as it made a 100% difference to the look and feel of the seats and the more you use it the darker they become, as I had to do two applications.the cleaner really removes a hell of a lot of dirt, and once the re-colouring balm has had 5 minutes to soak in and the seats are buffed the difference is unreal, but I will say you need quite a few cloths as it takes a fair bit of buffing until no excess black comes off, though I think they also do a sealer that holds in the colour as well. I havent tried other kits but can really recommend this one from personal experience.they do a wide range of colours, can custom mix colours, and if it doesnt work and you need one of their other products they will refund the price off your next order if you return any unused balm. :)
  20. Does a zed MAF sensor use a 'ceramic' tile to measure airflow?, whereby the flow of incoming air drawn over a heated ceramic wafer thin tile cools it and and the amount it is cooled by gives it the airflow volume (hope that makes sense :) ) If it is the tile type, as used on v6 vauxhall/opel engines , the tile can become coated with a film of crap, especially with pre-oiled filters and giving it a delicate clean with a cotton bud and electrical contact cleaner can often cure a lot of maf sensor faults :)
  21. Please stop.......my eyes hurt! :(
