headlights are buggered!! help
I had light issues due to the passenger side targa drain leaking all over the block connectors in the passenger footwell.there is a white plastic frame in the corner with 4 connectors on it(2 white ones, abrown one and a black one), the conectors on these blocks were badly corroded and caused problems with the headlights etc.may be worth checking out to see if yours are wet.

hi i am newbie
same here, Falkens on the front and Continentals on the rear (rears are run-flats) Hello and welcome by the way :) My jdm tt auto (soon to be a manual) is my daily drive and doesnt cost a great deal more to run than the 3.0 omega engined Calibra i had previously .As has already been said check for rust, leaky targa drains and check all the electrics etc work as they should do.Spares are easy to come by and seem to be reasonably priced, and most folks on here have parts/goodies for sale regularly plus Jeff from Zedworld is usually on hand with parts and advice etc. have had my zed since the beginning of September and can honestly say it is the most enjoyable car i have owned.I would say look at a few before you buy one and get the best one you can find for the money you have to spend (says the man who bought his off ebay without seeing it first, but i think i dropped quite lucky). personally i would say get one with sensible mods such as a chipped/remapped ecu, electronic boost controller etc, as it will save you buying them in the long run, and preferably find one with receipts for any work/mods that have been done. Will probably get boo'ed for this but i would avoid cars with sideskirts fitted as they can hide horrendous amounts of rot on the sills.

Car manufacturers going slightly mad!
The Micras got the same wheels as my zed :)

Why did you choose a zed??
Had a DTM Edition V6 Calibra (one of only 12 left on the road) for 3 years, spent a fortune on it getting it back to original, but wanted more power and rwd and didnt want the hassle of converting the Calibra to rwd.Had looked at zeds in the past, a guy two doors from my mums had a red one, so had a look for a zed to replace the Calibra and settled on my black 91 jdm tt.

modified fuse box
Exactly.......got to be easier than relocating the fuse box.......plus the fact that if its moved to the passenger side the targa can still leak on that side as well! :)
-
modified fuse box
Personally I would say you need to sort the targas out......sort out the problem not the symptom :)

window washer light
One point to make is always use proper screen wash, not Fairy liquid (other dishwashing liquids are available :) ) as over time Fairy liquid etc can 'gum' washer pumps up and cause level indicators to stick :)

Rear big brake conversion advice
All the D2 listings I can find confirm the oe handbrake can no longer be used, and that goes for a lot of other applications as well, not just zeds :)

My zed's in a magazine...
I had a Skoal Bandit replica GSXR1100 featured in Performance Bikes, was a 5 page spread and I had a day out at Bruntingthorpe near Leicester, thrapping it down the 2 mile runway plus a full studio shoot. It was voted one of the top 3 readers specials of the decade, so was well chuffed......wish I still had it!!!

Rear big brake conversion advice
With the D2 rear kit you do, as there is no provision on the discs for the drum for the handbrake shoes Car.mad.....are the k-sport kits a good fit etc?

Rear big brake conversion advice
Im toying with the idea of fitting big brakes front and rear and like the look of the D2 kits, but the rears cant be used with the oe handbrake and needs to converted to a hydraulic handbrake, which is a no-no for road use. So my question is......does anyone know of a big rear brake kit with 4 pot calipers that still uses the oe handbrake set-up?. Would like to do both ends rather than just the fronts as I think it may look a bit odd :)
