Picked my daughter up earlier and as soon as she sat in the passenger seat she said "Dad, is your windscreen cracked?".....and bugger me it is!, in the bottom lefthand corner. Rang my insurance and luckily I can get it replaced for a £80 excess, but still a p.i.t.a :(

Thats all well and good until you have an accident, the insurance company find out its a twin turbo (not to mention police collision investigators), your insurance is invalid and you find yourself in a world of hurt!.

Just a thought......if its the shift solenoid how come it will change from 1st to 2nd on the stick but not if its put straight into drive?

I will stick my neck out and say that if the car has been converted from a n/a to a tt it will actually cost more to insure than a tt from the factory as it will, in the eyes of the insurance company, be modified from its oe spec.

I disconnected the battery the other day and it shifted fine after reconnecting it but its done it again this morning, seems to be intermitent.If I select 1st and pull off and then shift to 2nd then D it seems to shift as normal.Hope it lasts until I get my manual box in, but will have a look at the wiring in the meantime.

Done the auto diagnostic on the zed and its coming up as shift solenoid A shorted or disconnected.Anyone know where shft solenoid A is located?.any help appreciated, cheers :)

Hello and welcome.the posted guide pretty much says it all..i would add buy the best one you can afford and if you bought one from a club member for example you should be able to see whats been done by viewing posts relating to the car. Must admit I bought mine off ebay after seeing 3 photos, no road test (hadnt even driven one until I went out in it the follwing morning) and it was delivered in the dark!,but I dropped quite lucky. :)

Checked the a/t fuse in drivers footwell fusebox and thats ok, dont know if there are any others anywhere?

Have done a search but cant find much....... A couple of times since the weekend my 'power' light has flashed 16 times when I turn the ignition on and the box appears to be pulling off in second gear, as it seems to require more revs than normal to get the old girl going.Has anyone else had this problem and know a possible cause?. I am changing the box for a manual shortly, but dont really want any problems between now and then.any help or advice appreciated :)

Ok guys.....i use the zed every day,do a 30 mile round trip to work each day plus drive it at the weekends.i want to get the best out of the handling but how will rose-joints and spherical bearings hold up to everyday abuse?.

Have been thinking about changing the suspesion arms etc front and rear for Driftworks kit and was wondering if this is the way to go.......or whether to fit uprated bushes in the existing (standard) suspension components?. Which would be more cost effective in terms of actual purchase price and ease of fitment? (i would imagine bush kits are cheaper, but take longer to fit).The car is for road use with maybe to odd track day (maybe) :)

There is a fuel pump fuse in the small fusebox under the bonnet, on drivers side in the corner of the inner wing. :)

I have one grade cooler (7s) ngk iridium plugs and im running 14psi boost with a central20 ecu with a dta chip and e.b.c and it runs sweet as a nut.got them from conceptua and were cheaper than I could get stock plugs for.

Right folks, done a bit of searching and it appears my o/s/f creak is from the upper link.every other car I have had has had standard macpherson strut suspension, not multilink like the zed. How easy is it to remove the top link to clean it/lube it ?, do I have to remove the shock etc?.hoping to replace all the suspension arms with driftworks kit soon, but the creaking is doing my head in!!!.......any advice guys?

Mines got the plastic piece.....and the ring around my ignition barrel lights up red when the lights are on :)

Dont quote me on it, but if you wire it through the brakelights it may illuminate the 'lights' warning light on the dash (the one that lights up if you got a brakelight out).sure I read it on the net somewhere.

Do you know the part number dave?, as I need one soon and prefer to go armed with part numbers :)

I was once told that in order to double your maximum speed you need 8 times the horsepower.not sure how true that is :)
