  1. Mine seems ok since I soaked the block connectors with wd-40,the power light hasnt flashed since and th box is changing up and down as it should :)
  2. thought of that, engine mounts are good so it does move very much at all, the brace has been on over a week now (cars used every day) and no signs of rubbing on the plenum at all. :)
  3. At first the bonnet wouldnt close, so had to stand on the strut part to flatten it slightly and elongate the holes on the brackets.used some sticky pads resting on top of the brace sticky side facing up to see if they stuck to the underside of the bonnet, and its all good now.Have a bit of clearance on the plenum itself, but may have to skim a bit off the engine cover, towards the back of it.
  4. i remember my old man refitting a battery on an old bedford tk and the battery literally exploded!.....showered him with acid and plastic 'shrapnel'.his one eye was never the same after that, but he was bloody lucky to be honest.
  5. be blingier once i get my chromed plenum etc done :cool2:
  6. got round to fitting my japspeed front strutbrace i bought off zx-tt so thought id put up a pic.hope you like :) [/img]
  7. Could be the master cylinder has hyperextended (gone past its normal travel and popped the seals on the piston), had this on a Capri years ago and was a p.i.t.a to sort out
  8. Cheers matey, will give this a go next weekend I think :)
  9. iirc jeff posted a topic regarding the speed sensor where the inner piece lifts away from the sensor body and causes a poor connection.the post also ran through how to repair it.may be worth doing a search :)
  10. The carbon fibre one in the link seemed expensive for what it is.ill see if I can get the vent out and sort it out.cheers for the replies guys :)
  11. The top of my dash, along the front edge of the vent, is lifting and I was wandering if anyone has come up with a solution that doesnt involve removing the dash.i was thinking along the lines of a plate the same shape as the vent that would screw onto it with an overlap that sits on top of the dash and will pull the lifted section down as its screws down. Anyone done anything similar?
  12. Sent to the wrong number!, resent now :)
  13. I might be up for this too :)
  14. Theres a cracking stretch of road from machyclleth to corwen as well, then on to dolgellau then barmouth.i know a fair few cracking roads in Wales from my biking days on a GSX-R1100 ;)
  15. Seems intermittent on mine, as long as it lasts a few weeks until I get my manual conversion done I can live with it :)
  16. Hi guys, i'll be up for the Elan valley run, the scenery is fanastic and be nice to meet some local(ish) members. How about a Barmouth meet in the summer as well?.
  17. Had a telephone conversation with the fitter this morning saying the appointment shouldnt have been booked as they cant locate a screen and the only one they list is blue! :) Then got a call back 10 mins later to say they can do it wednesday and they have located a bronze screen with a green top tint so happy days :)
  18. Very nice.........was you at the zedworld bash in it as it looks familiar :)
  19. To be honest ive never really noticed!, will have a look tomorrow :)
  20. As the windscreen actually adds to the structural strenght I would rather have it bonded professionally :), plus id end up with sealer in my hair and up my nose :)
  21. A screen, courier and fitting for £80!........i wouldnt have thought so.
  22. They said they can do green or blue, which is good as mines a green tint.to be honest I dont mind as long as theres no crack and no scratches!, as my old screen is quite scratched.
