Turbo timer & key lock problem.
just dawned on me that when I did my passenger side targa drain yesterday I cleaned up all the corroded connectors in the passenger footwell and sprayed them with wd40, so perhaps the solenoid is working as its meant to as a result.thinking about it the beeper for reverse is also working now!.

Turbo timer & key lock problem.
No, stereo and everything will stay on as the turbo timer counts down, when it hits zero it all goes off.tbh its not a real problem as it normally counts down while im getting all my crap (fags, phone etc) together, then I take the key out.but it just seemed odd that for weeks ive been able to remove the key when on countdown but now I cant.

Turbo timer & key lock problem.
If I turn the key and press the button the button wont depress and release the key, but as soon as the engine stops the button will depress and release the key.if I switch the turbo timer off, turn the key to off and press the button the key will come straight out.

Turbo timer & key lock problem.
For the last couple of months since fitting a greddy turbo timer I have been able to take the key out and the engine will run until the end of the countdown. For some reason I now cant remove the key until the countdown finishes and the engine shuts down, the key will then come out as normal by pressing the little button. Has anyone come across this?

Used a piece of aircraft grade stainless steel tube I had knocking about ;) Hi sayers, would give you a hand one of the days, even though it was a p.i.t.a, lol.Wednesfields Brum way isnt it?. Have got to delve back in tomorrow to tidy the wiring up a bit better as I ran out of time today as had stuff to do.

Targa drain sorted
Spent most of the morning sorting out my passenger side targa drain, and decided to change the pipe completely rather than try to stretch it.i put a small steel sleeve in the end so I could attach the rubber piece that goes through the body with a small hose clip so it wont come off again. Biggest headache was the corroded connectors where water had been running on them, a couple broke and needed re-wiring which was a pain as there isnt a lot of room, but at least they should stay nice and dry now. :)

Does your zed have a name?
As per the title, does your zed have a name? Mines called Beatrix (after Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill...aka The Black Mamba) :)

targa drains........
have just spent a productive hour and a half removing half a ton of white silicon sealer( not a good look on a black car!!!) from under my drivers side targa, cleaned it all up and lubed the wind deflector thingy so its all nice and free and poured some penertrating oil down the drain hole (figured it would be better than water if hose was disconnected ;) ), and it came out the bottom as it should, just behind the front wheel. did the same on the passenger side (no sealer this time), poured the penetrating oil down, but no sign of it underneath!. i know the drivers side is a pain to do but what about the passenger side???, how easy is it to get to the end of the hose to re-attach it and is there much to remove to get to it???

Some new pics...clear rear lights

Some new pics...clear rear lights
i think so, was just going to do the indicator lenses but thought sod it i'll do the lot.took a while to cut the old lenses out so it just left a frame to attach the clear ones to.have got another pair to do, but will wait a while i think, still finding black stuff from this set!!!

my dyno run...
Always think its best to have a dyno run with an open mind, I ran my 3.0 calibra on one back in the summer and to be honest was only hoping for somewhere near standard power and anything else would be a bonus, so when I get 197bhp and 216lb/ft of torque I was happy.if the cars running sweet and the engines in good condition I wouldnt worry, as while it is nice to say you have xxxbhp you can only go so fast plus the fact that if you drive slower everyone else gets a good view of the zed!
