  5. The Z31 300zr was available from 1986 as a JDM only model, and was a 24v v6 with a single turbo, and was no longer produced in 1996 as Z32 production replaced the Z31 in 1989.I would say that if the DOHC lump in the Z31 is a 1996 engine then its a transplanted engine
  6. Have recently put castrol edge 5w40 fully-synthetic in my tt and oil pressure etc is spot-on, oil pressure builds up quicker on startup and has virtually silenced the hydraulic tappets from cold.
  7. Was with bt, but have just got virgin media broadband,tv and phone for £26 a month.broadband is unlimited and very very fast.i would recommend it if you arein a cable area :)
  8. Looks tidy, shame this wasnt on ebay when I was looking for a zed.
  9. A mate of mine once put a GSX-R 1340 motor ( Wiseco 1340 big-bore kit and huge Mikuni 48mm flatslide carbs and a modded Yoshimura exhaust) in one of those little blue invalid cars you used to see years ago.......that used to leave just about everything from the lights, but used to try and kill him at every opportunity!.i think I may have some photos of it somewhere, will have to have a look for them
  10. hello and welcome :)
  11. Looks good.....have you used it?
  12. Got caught by a camera van when driving the works 3.5t pickup, speed limit was 60mph so I went past at 55........then found out I should have been doing 50mph due to class of vehicle :( Got 3 points and £60 fixed penalty.....bugger!
  13. A mate of mine with a ford torino ordered an edelbrock waterpump from the states, and it arrived exactly 36 hour after placing the order!!!, and it arrived mirror polished as well.
  14. Was wondering whats the best paint to repaint all the trim strips and how best to go about it, as the covering is peeling off mine.also has anyone covered theirs with carbon effect sheet? Any advice would be appreciated, as I think my zed will look a lot better once they are done :)
  15. My missus bought me the book of the first series for christmas last year and I took it on holiday to india with me and ended up reading it sat next to the pool, with a cold beer, p#ssing myself laughing!!! Karl is brilliant :)
  16. Have got ngk iridiums in my tt, one grade cooler as running higher than standard boost.they were £48 from Conceptua on ebay and free postage and free sweets!, so was chuffed with that.changed them last weekand shes running as sweet as :)
  17. Following on from sorting my boost leaks etc on Thursday I went back to Lee Dents place today and changed the plugs, oil and filter and the fuel filter and Lee re-wired my rear lights and run me through ditching my egr pipes and aav (think thats right) pipes and re-plumbed the boost controller pipes as they were like spaghetti!!!. The end result is now my engine bay looks tidier and shes now running even sweeter Turns out shes also got custom downpipes fitted, as well as the rest of the system, so happy days Thanks again to Lee, cheers mate :)
  18. Ever driven one?.........most people change their minds once they have. The 3.6 lump is as smooth as silk and 377bhp isnt to be sniffed at :)
  19. Most people would give their right arm for a lotus carlton, and they didnt handle too bad for a big salloon but their main territory was fast A roads and motorways where they where effortless mile-munchers.160mph with 4 adults and a bootful of luggage across europe was feasable if you could keep it in fuel.they had the twin-turbo chargecooled C36GET engine in them. :)
  20. Thanks for the reply but all sorted now and set up a treat.i had disturbed on of the pipes which was split and leaking and a few other noost leaks which have been rectified.couldnt find much info on Grid products, they seem to sell in Japan only from what I can make out.
  21. No worries mate, you deserve them :)
  22. That was my 3.0 calibra down to a tee :)
  23. Would like to say a massive thankyou to Lee Dent (member on here) for helping me with my zed today. He sorted the wiring behind my dash, sorted my turbotimer out (cheers for the adapter loom for the ignition switch),sorted my boost leaks out (boosting through pcv and turbo hose leaking) and showed me how to remove and clean pcv valves and set up my boost controller.car now running 100 times better, boosting as it should and holding boost :) If anyone is in Shrewsbury or the surrounding area and needs any work doing I cant recommend Lee highly enough, his work is spot-on and what he doesnt know about zeds and cars in general isnt worth knowing So once again, cheers mate you are a credit to the club All the best, Rich :)
  24. I have a Grid boost contoller fitted and last night I disconnected it to move it, and now it appears to have lost its settings as the boost is now a lot lower than it was. Does anyone know how I reset it?. the controller was already fitted and I have no manual for it and can find one on the internet.
  25. As above, aristo looks nice.as for the dutton, did it ever run with the 3.0 in it?.
