Do zeds have an iso plug for the stereo wiring?

Mine smells on boost as well!, thought something was wrong.

have seen the long winded threads regarding oil.......would just like a simple yes or no as to whether 5w40 fully synthetic is ok :)

The opieoils website recommends 5w30, so surely 5w40 isnt too thin.and the viscosity when hot is surely the same as 10w40, as the 40 bit is the same......or am I missing something?. :)

Anyone use Castrol Edge 5w40 fully synthetic? :)

Imho cougars arent up to much, for a fairly large v6 they only kick out around 148bhp which isnt a lot for a big car......but then I may be biased after owning a v6 calibra, the cougars nemesis, lol :)

Can the pcv valves be cleaned out with carb cleaner or similar?

Well..... Drove the 15 miles to work this morning and left it idling while I unlocked the gates, started the truck etc and no smoke at all!!!

Hard to tell in the dark, but think it is very rich as tps is all or nothing.motor isnt making any funny noises and no change in power.

Noticed tonight my zed has started smoking out of the n/s exhaust when idling, but not straightaway its after 30-40 seconds.doesnt appear to be smoking when moving and appears to be boosting fine but smoke smells funny Am I assuming the worst when I think buggered turbo or could it be something simple? I have got a dodgy tps and the exhaust tips on both sides are very sooty Please tell me it isnt a turbo after only 2 weeks of ownership :(

I know, luckily I never had the dreaded cooler leak on my v6's, I think the biggest cause is not using the correct coolant in the system and it rots the oil cooler (technically a heat exchanger) allowing the oil to leak into the cooling system. If it is easier to do than a vauxhall v6 I will probably do it myself, as found the job pretty easy on the vaux v6 to be honest, I just made sure everything was double checked, then checked again :)

Have got my boost controller at the bottom of the dash to the left of the steering wheel(was already fitted) and will have to find a home for the turbo timer so will be interested to see where others havemounted theirs.

With this being only my second week of zed ownership I was wondering about cambelt changes.ive come over to zeds from a v6 calibra (3.0 omega engine) and with those you have to change the tensioner and rollers at the same time as the belt.is it the same for zed engines?.i changed the cambelt kit on the calibra myself, is it any harder to do on a zed?, obviously the parts that have to be removed are different but I suppose the principle is the same.are any special tools needed to lock the cams etc Any advice is appreciated, cheers :)

hi folks, have got a Greddy turbo timer to fit and there is a wire that goes to the speed sensor wire on the ecu.does anyone know which pin this is and the colour of the wire.thanks in advance :)

My new zed is my first auto and im a bit unsure about the o/d button....do I have o/d on or off???.sorry if this has been covered before but if someone can explain it to me it would be appreciated.

and my Calibra V6 DTM Edition the zed has replaced.Calibra was one of only 12 V6 DTM's left on the road.
