Problems with cheap Ebay OBD leads and software?
Not much help as I don't have it. But I've read people have had the same problems as yourself and they have managed to sort it out. Someone will help more soon.

Oh sorry, speed sensor affects the speedo and not the rev counter..... I think..... Can't remember now. No help at all really. I'll be quiet now.

Forum runner search
When performing a search on my mobile (the only device I use for the forum) using forum runner. After entering a keyword and clicking search, its seems to search for a while and then comes up with an error message saying something like "the server has sent an unknown response, this could be due to outdated something or a conflict of some sort." I also get the same error message when trying to edit a post. This has been happening for a while now. Us it my phone, the app or something your end? Thanks.

Rev counter stopped working/
Speed sensor on the gearbox is prone to failure and will cause this. The sensor itself "separates". There is a repair write up by Jeff if you search.

June 1st Next meet.
Hi osty, just wanted to say, it looks like youre doing a great job sorting out meets mate, well done! As I said in another thread, my car is still alive, just, but suffering from rather large holes where the sills once lived. :( Bearing in mind the Z is a luxury I cant really afford, it has taken me up until now to be halfway through building a shed to restore the car properly. Another few weeks, shed should be finished and the restoration thread will begin. I get my Z fix by reading every post on the forum, so I am still about, although not in the car. :) I will be back.......

window adjustment
I looked in the service manual in "bf10" there seems to be adjustment possible, but not sure if it can be adjusted in or out at the top of the window or just up and down.

window adjustment
Hi guys, anyone know anything about adjusting the front windows so they close tighter against the targa rubber at the top? I'm sure I read you can adjust them, but can't find it. Thanks

strange one!?
Sorry mate, not ignoring you ;) just a hectic day. Will try and check back of speedo tomorrow, it would be good to know what's actually fitted.

strange one!?
Ok, fortunately my dash is in bits. So it seems I have uk fascia, but the rear is the same as the Japanese unit with the 40P10 code printed. I also have a screw in the 10k hole.

strange one!?
Mine are the same as the UK ones.

strange one!?
I don't own a satnav, so can't help on that one.

No, I mean I had to remove the in line block converter.

strange one!?
I took them from a UK car and had to remove the converter. How can you tell?

I have UK clocks on a Japanese car and still have limiter in place :(

strange one!?
Remove the cluster and disconnect all the plugs on the back (4 I think) you will see on the large plug on the left spliced into the wire, a little block, normally about a couple of centimeters square. Just cut the block out and rejoin the wires without the block between. That's from memory, someone please correct if that's wrong.,
