  3. I agree with you in principle Phutumsch, It's just that the second hand ones have been damaged around the edges of the bulb holders where the previous owner prised them off, rather than pushing them out from the back. See what you are saying about the black stuff, might have a re think. Mind you, if I can get hold of a near perfect pair I can do as you say, just fit them complete. Still not sure if the imported ones are different to the UK ones, will have to do some studiating
  4. Sorry Dill the Dog/Phutumsch, I seem to have mislead you both. What I am attempting to do is remove the cracked and crazed lenses from my existing bulb housings, and replace them with virtually perfect second hand ones. So what I would like to do is clean all of the adhesive from all items and do a fresh re build. By the way, there appears to be a slight difference between the imported bulb holders and the UK ones looking at the rear, or am I imagining things? Can't quite put my finger on it!??
  5. Any chance of getting some pictures posted? Will maybe help to generate some ideas/solution.
  6. Thanks guy's,:thumbup1: Some useful info:yes:
  7. I have just started to dismantle my rear light assemblies, hoping to fit new outer lenses to my original bulb housings. Can anyone help me with finding the re usable rubber type sealant that was originally used, or something similar, I think I will need several attempts before I get it right so I am looking for the sort of sealant that can be re worked with a little heat.
  8. How's your timing? can be a major cause of difficult starting. Also, is it always from cold? might be worth checking if the auxiliary air device is opening, you could try disconnecting the pipework prior to it and allowing a tad of air in. Worth a shot.
  9. congrat's mate, i know the feeling well..
  10. Sounds like a dodgy connection to the MAF unit to me, worth removing and cleaning it. As for a frozen pipe, sounds like the cold side of the air conditioning, was the air con on?
  11. Ditto! ^^
  12. Did you let the master cylinder fluid drop low? may have air in the main body, perhaps worth just cracking the outlet pipes at the cylinder and try to push a little fluid out. Did you remove the filler cap by the way? may be air locked.
  13. Updates please, getting withdrawals.
  14. Green one I think, behind the fuse cover/panel at the bottom of the drivers footwell.
  15. Very well said Jeff, I for one support your thoughts 100% I am sure that everyone involved with this forum, from registered member through to senior Moderator will feel the same. After all, I can not imagine any other forum having such a company such as Zedworld, that not only offers a great service at great prices, but also a great wealth of advice given freely to all.
  16. Just a quick not to say, Firstly, Finally finished the alarm installation and everything seems to be working,:sweatdrop: relief or what! Secondly, Big thanks for everyones help, especially Baz:thumbup1: and Jeff:thumbup1:. Thanks, Dave. (I owe you guy's 1)
  17. You will know for sure when you connect them up, but on the face of it, they look fine.
  18. Looking forward to seeing it face on with gauges in situ. Looks like they will be more visible than first thought. Impressive.
  19. Is the twin kakimoto a full stainless system? I may consider one in the future if that was the case.
  20. Cheers Vodkashots, I will pm Baz.
  21. See where you're coming from there mate. I was only going to post the wiring diagrams, but if you feel that might make my security vulnerably then yes, I will pm Baz. Can I still attach documents etc' to a PM? Is that OK with you Baz?
  22. Sure thing Baz, I will upload all I can, may take a moment mind. Cheers, you have given me hope.
  23. Just bought myself a new alarm system for the garage, Is there anyone on here that might be able to help me wire it in please? I have routed all the wiring to each individual item, such as outside siren, control panel and the internal PIR sensor. My only problem now is, understanding the damn jargon they use to connect everything together and which wire goes to which terminal.:blushing: I will happily add more detail/pictures as required, I just wanted to put some feelers out first.
