  1. Whoops, I missed this yesterday. Happy birthday Jimmer! All the best. :duffer: Rob.
  2. I know this has been posted a while ago by Eric (lymon) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w8AAO6x2fs It is seriously goddamn quick    but finally somebody put up the spec on it: Final specs on the car... here they are. New set up, second build: Built motor, different block, same heads as my first build Twin Gt-3071's Forged actuators w/20-24 psi springs Custom SZ 3in. DP'S, test pipes, custom 3 inch cat back PE 850 inj. w/ 300 degree fuel rails RPS custom 4 puck clutch Removed A/C system 751 Rwhp, 645 lbs Torque, stock pump ran out of fuel:) Tuned @Specialty-Z 10/19/07 Look for octavian on twinturbo . net He is the owner of this 300zx tt and was untuned th day he was doing all of these races although it was more than enough to compete with most the cars that day. It is using jwt 850 bb turbos otherwise known as the gt-35rs turbos. Should be making roughly 800+ to the wheels once tuned.
  3. Standard UK cars are designed to run on 95ron. JDM & chipped cars require higher octane, so super unleadded at the least, V-Power or Tesco 99 are even better. I use V-Power in both of mine. If I put 95 in because I couldn't find a shell garage i have to put the boost down on the red one and the black one detts a little bit (no boost controller so have to drive on 1/2 - 3/4 throttle max). There is a difference. HTH Rob.
  4. Put it on a small bench then! :p I'll get me coat! :wack:
  5. OK I can see 2 naked women and a gallon of baby oil doing naughty things in that car.... It's got to be a mobile ladies' naked wrestling service! :D
  6. LOL ahem, well when I crashed my first car at silly speeds on a Dual Carrigeway, I told the copper that I sneezed and 'blanked out' :o he looked and me and smiled. :smash: I think because no other cars were involved they 'overlooked the matter' but he knew I was not telling the truth LOL
  7. Good old TVR reliability then!
  8. Thanks for the info lads, looks like a summer project for me then! :duffer:
  9. As posted above, is this subscription only or will it be available in large newsagents? Oh, and how many pages in it? All the best. Robert.
  10. How did you guys prepare the underside before treatment? Jetwash? Car wash with chassis brush? Or just apply over the dirt? :p Did any of you spray some into the sill cavities? I think this would be quite benificial looking at what my UK red one was like before my Father and I repaired thw L/H sill. I need to do the black car as it is absolutely mint underneath and I'd like it to stay that way too.
  11. Good find! Thanks. Do you think this will work on a PDA running windows moblie?
  12. I sincerely hope it is correct.......... we weight our scrap metal in at the yard I used so they're doing us out of tonnes and tonnes   It was not a long artic bridge, just one that is large enough to fit a skip lorry. But, I take your point and I WILL put it on another bridge in the future.
  13. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=105723 From a previous thread. I still don't know why my Red UK Z was so light? It has the UK fabric interior (as opposed to the heavy leather) non-electric seats and lightweight Rays Engineering wheels. 1470kg without driver but with some fuel on-board.. maybe £15 worth as a guess.
  14. I'd like to know this before committing too :)
  15. PMSL ROFL  My black zed is doing the same and I wondered why all the girls kept wanting a lift and told me to drive @ a steady 45mph.....
  16. I've never felt the need to answer this before, but even in stock (or near to stock form) these cars are pretty quick! The only mods I have on the black one are: filter, de-cats & exhaust, running stock boost, injectors, turbos & intercoolers... A few nights ago I managed 165mph on the speedo and it was still going! I seriously think an indicated 170 was possible. I need to get it dynoed to see what the hell it's putting out. Aldon Automotive (DY5 3JZ) is quite close to where I live so I'm just going to put it on their rollers one saturday. Then maybe take it on an airfield and be done once and for all lol.
  17. FFS damn mate! :( That really is not good.
  18. This one Leigh? Alas I have no dimensions at all :(
  19. If it's an import it could be a dodgy KMH convertor....
  20. Class, absolute class
  21. Give him the benifit of the doubt lol.... it must have been freezing in that room :D
  22. Reading his posts, and especially his last post "Josh .....and I plan to have all the pics up tommorow ;)" It looks like he was flat out on the airstrip taking pics/video or something to post the next day. :(
  23. Look at these dudes going for it!!!
  24. I got the titanium key to both my Zeds :D :nana2: :hyper:
  25. That's quite impressive actually dude! Would love to hear that singing @ 8,500rpm!
