Turbo Repair Kits
It gives you another 90 Deg of bearing area for the end float. I have some stock 270 Deg thrust bearings @ work I could take a photo of. TBH 270/360......... Stock 270 is good enough for a stock tub ;)

Turbo Repair Kits
It's nothing to do with the brass bearings. The brass bearings control how much 'wobble' the shaft has. I.E. when the blades contact the case and mash up, the brass bearings have self destructed LOL The 270/360 thrust bearing controls the endfloat of the compressor/impellor wheels and shaft. Step gap ring is usefull when this part wears out in a few thousand miles. The step gap maintains a close to 100% seal. A normal straight cut seal will be spreading open at this stage and allowing oil past it to be burnt in the exhaust, hence the turbo smoke ;) HTH Rob.

Question of the Day (Manual or Auto)...
Well I got 3 manual TT's......... says it all really ;)

Turbo Repair Kits
360 Deg bearing refers to the thrust bearing. Stock bearing is 270 Deg so the uprated bearing covers another 90 Deg of area. If i'm honest, the endfloat never goes out of tolerance before the brass bearings wear out too much. They're evenly matched in the stock setup. The big advantages comes in fitting the step gap seal. This is an absolute must.

help/advice needed please before i put a sledge to my Z
I remember having mega problems getting the clutch to work after my last rebuild on the red car.... Tried to bleed it here there and everywhere. Tried to flush fluid upwards etc. In total desperation I pressed the slave cylinder all the way in by hand and my Dad pumped the clutch once. The slave cylinder had a much longer travel this time, so Dad pumped it again and it reached it's 'working point' on the clutch fork. I have no idea why that should work but it did, I'd suggest you try it too. ATB Rob.

Got to be The Changeling for me. I watched it when I was 10 and it was scarey! Yeeesh giving me shivers just thinking about it. "How did you die, Joseph...? Did you die in this house...? Why do you remain...?" Whatever you do...DON'T GO INTO THE ATTIC. :o

Somebody posted up how many Zeds were made in each year...
zx-eyes thanks for finding it!!!!!!!!! :duffer: Quavey thanks for posting it in the beginning  So does that mean Japan stopped exporting the Z32 in 1996? If so the figures for the following years were for the JDM market only?
