Ahh yes! I havent driven my red UK car for so long I forgotten about that button! As for the interior, it's not cloth, it is a type of velour, quite plush and soft really! Nothing like the hard tweed on the JDM cars.

Looks like a very clean genuine UK car! It has the UK velour in it & proper seatbelts, but can't see front or rear bumper in the pics.

Yep, it's perfectly possible! My Folks have exactly the same PDA and I put TomTom6 on for them. You will need to buy a 2GB SD cars though for the maps and postcode data though.

I really think it's big ends. You'll probably find the noise sounds like it's comming from the top of the engine because the piston(s) are now just glancing the heads..... I know it's not what you want to hear but that's life with Z ownership lol. All the best. Rob.

As John said, at the start of this vid the mapping is a very basic, loads of popping and banging going on! Towards the end when JD had tweaked a few setting with his laptop it was a hell of a lot better :D He even let me press the loud pedal for a few seconds :D so HE could experiance the induction roar first hand from outside the car. Dude, that Hotel is 400km East of the Nurburgring circuit! Is there any reason for that? It is almost a 4 hour journey :( See if there are any hotels local to the circuit, this picture might help a little with placenames.

Daft question time........... Why did you wreck your engine? Did you crash into him or something?

The L/H turbo is possible with the engine in, last time it took me 5 hours to swap a turbo :) R/H is a totally different matter :( There is lots of stuff in the way that prevent you doing it. By the time you've stripped all the stuff out you might as well take the engine out and do a plenum water bypass and an EGR removal at the same time.

If you hear any 'zizzing' sounds, they are totally shot. The bearings have worn that much and the compressor and turbine blades are making contact with their housings. Pretty much scrap turbo time. If you don't let it get that bad then you will get away with a repair to the turbos (new bearings and thrust bearing) which will be much cheaper. HTH Rob

My black one has stock IC's, stock injectors, POSSIBLY uprated turbos (need to double check and confirm this though) running 0.8 bar (11.76psi) and gets to 165 easy enough. No idea on my estimated power i need to dyno it before I start messing :p

Zed takes 4.5L of oil with filter change IIRC.........

The trouble with '99 spec window switches is they have different connector plugs. Just out of curiosity I took a peek at my old '98 z's window switches. Unless you can buy a harness adapter, find a plug off a breaker (unlikely ;)), cut plugs off and wire direct, it's not going to be straightforward to fit them. Rob
