Bodyshop update
Good God Vijay :( You don't have much luck do you? It makes no sense to me for bodyshops to do a piss poor job, they either don't get payment OR they get to do the whole job again so it costs them twice as much. They must be really thick or something. Anyway, stand your ground. As said before £4.5k would buy you an imacculate paintjob. They have no excuses.

Yep, they're good. I have them on my red car and will be buying a pair for the black car in the future.

Petrol costs ???????????
I'm sure I'm getting about 15mpg in my black TT manual. Mind you I don't take it easy. Before EVERY journey I tell myself to chill out a bit, but 10 mins into it I'm on full chat LOL These cars are awesome on full boost, expensive but worth every penny.

Why is road construction/repair so slow in this country?
I have to say I agree with Si, when I drove to Le Mans it was as near as damnit 250miles to dover, 250 miles to Le Mans, different route back to Dover 250 miles and 250 miles back home. So 500++ miles on French roads and I didn't see a cone once! Makes my blood boil when they dig a road up here and leave it for ages OR they have 2 men on a 5 mile stretch doing jack all.

Wheel bolts.
IIRC, tapered head are for steel wheels, flat head are for alloys. If he uses the tapered bolts they will come loose at some stage.

My Zed-Fest 2008 Pictures
That Z has been in the UK since 1999, had done 1000km in Japan before comming over here. I have a video of it from 1999 when it first came to the UK and it has that spoiler fitted already. So weather it came from the factory with it fitted or it was 'retrofitted' is a little unclear. I would love to get to the bottom of the mystery but I don't think there is any chance unless you can trace it back in Japan. I think Russ is going to fit some 24" ADVAN three spokes, APR pylon spoiler and some big FG bodykit to finish it off perfectly :D :wack: Hehe in all seriousness, it's good to see him keeping it immaculate :D :duffer: Well done fella.

big mistake with the pilot bushing !!!!!!
I think you need to machine into some fresh metal if you can, and make a bush to suit. I have a spare crank here if you need it FOC, BUT it does need a regrind, it's very bad.

HEHE that's my 'old' slicky!! Russ_T owns it now :D It truly is the cleanest Z32 I've ever seen. Did he lift the bonnet up for you? It's absolutely spotless under there too! Rob. EDIT: my WLAN is slow, didn't see you're other posts :mac1:

Petrol Concern
Yes, it seems as if you're in safety boost. Run the fuel low then find your nearest shell station and buy some V-Power. I wouldn't put anything else in my zeds. (apart from bluegas) :D

Something sqeaking
That's so true! It took me ages to sort out a squeak that I was convinced was comming from the front suspension. Turned out it WAS the bonnet catch. I just lowered it a bit and all was good.

Switzerland - black hole... bye bye??
Well I've made parts for this machine ;) The actual tubes that the particles pass through have 24K gold plated ends laser welded to each end. 2 per tube, each tube is 10M in length? 25km of them hehe So if it blows up, it wasn't me :D

Well my parents have a 2001 X Volvo V70 T5 that has done 2,400 miles from new. I don't think there is much to worry about. But if you get an Autolign inspection, and they say it's a sub-standard job they have not got a leg to stand on. End of discussion. ;)

Well, what a response!!!!! First off, you brought it to him because you wasn't happy with the paint that was on there! Secondly, go and have a look at some of the other cars they have painted, see what condition they're in. Thirdly, can you get an independant inspection by AA, RAC? I know for a fact Autolign inspect cars to see if they are repaired to or above manufacturers standard so finance can be had on cat C & D vehicles. I am not sure if they will come out to view a car though, you will need to make enquiries. I do know that Autolign are VERY well respected, basically what they say goes. Years ago they had the power to declassify a car from cat C & D and take it off the condition register ;) so they have some big clout ;) HTH dude. Rob

How to remove a locking wheel nut without the key!
I would have suggested trying to weld a 12mm or 16mm square bar on and getting a big trusty adjuster on it. The heat from welding also helps ;)

I'd say if you had your F355 painted and paid £4.1k you would want a PERFECT job. No overspray, orange peel, bits, fish eyes, dry edges, etc etc. It should not matter what car it is, £4.1k will buy you an immaculate fresh new exterior repaint. HTH dude.
