  1. Well, the end of one of the icons of the 300zx crowd in the UK :( :p only kidding! Looks much better now. Well done fella.
  2. I've washed the car and took some pics. What do you reckon?
  3. LOL well you saying that I've had my first blue screen of death for years yesterday and today! I think I have a hardware problem tho, possibly video card :(
  4. Awesome! Did you notice water temps higher after fitting? Some say to avoid FMIC's because of this.
  5. No. They need to buy a £2.99 can of 'plastic adhesion promoter' spray that on the bare polyurethane then make sure they put plasticiser in subsequent coats of primer and the paint. :)
  6. Ahem.... I have the DVD somewhere....... It's probably up the loft. There was a silver R34 driven by Mr. SE himself, Peter Rosenburg LOL EDIT: This is it! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAX-POWER-HARDCORE-TARMAC-TERRORISTS-DVD-NEW_W0QQitemZ260271619461QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260271619461&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A3%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318 Look on the back cover of the VHS.... your car :p http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAX-POWER-HARDCORE-TARMAC-TERRORISTS-SKYLINE-GOLF-BABES_W0QQitemZ360077532042QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item360077532042&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A3%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318
  7. Looks identical to: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-TWIN-TURBO-INTERCOOLER-KIT-INTAKE_W0QQitemZ320283470410QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320283470410&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A3%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318 I've been looking at these for ages, I will get one in the end. As you say they're surely better than stock when boosting to 1 bar.
  8. Say hi to Borat for me please :D :smash::wack:
  9. Taking a gearbox off a Z is quite easy to be honest. Not sure about fitting all the manual stuff tho (clutch pedal booster, vacuum lines etc etc).
  10. The skateboarder face grind! haha Brilliant pics dude.
  11. Good question....... I had them on a '98 SWB TT, I can't remember if I drove it in the rain. If I DID, then all was well, nothing alarming happened. This was with boost up to 13psi too. Russ_T owns it now, has done for a few weeks. Maybe ask him his experiences if he's drove in the wet with them.
  12. Dude i've just clicked! Your car was in a Max Power video many years back! Some kind of top speed on a runway thing.
  13. Toyo proxes are stupidly grippy :D Seriously impressive.
  14. Hmm thank you Taff, I guess these were put on in Japan as it has not done a lot of miles in the UK really. EDIT: I've just had a search and they look exactly the same blue as on mine! Well done that man! :duffer:
  15. Hmm slick rears, semi-slick fronts! :D
  16. To answer you guys, I did all the research myself. I looked for a disc with very similair dimensions to the stock one but much larger in diameter. The disc I found was an almost perfect fit, just needing 0.8mm machining out of the centre bore. The caliper relocation brackets were made by myself (Dunkspeed Engineering :p). See this thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=115158 I guess I could work out costs for a couple of sets if ppl are interested? Rough guess would be well under £300 (much nearer £200) for discs, relocating brackets (chrome plated ;)), new bolts, longer brake pipes, inc. postage. Ahh I see. I guess the proof in the pudding is the eating :) Let's see how these get on ;) Thanks fella! :duffer: all!
  17. WOW I didn't realise they still used SCSI drives! My mate used to use them years ago, but I've lost touch with him now :(
  18. O M G. That's all I can say. I've had them on for 30+ miles now and what can I say? The difference is staggering. Absolutely no effort to reduce speeds rapidly from high speeds. They even seem to work better (very noticeable) when hot. I can't quite get my head round how much of an improvement they are. I deliberately left the old pads on so I could make a direct comparison between the two disc types and wow, there IS an enormous difference! To be honest I'm glad I didn't put and big 4pot / 6pot calipers on as this maybe double overkill, as it is I can lock the fronts at 50+ quite easy on a hot dry road :O Oh, one thing I need to ask, the pads that are in there are painted BLUE, what types of aftermarket pad are blue in colour? That's what I said when I nearly went through the windscreen :D :D you're not kidding :) Thank you fella! LOL I prefer to drive my cars not polish them. You cant see the bonnet, our bloody cat keeps walking on it Anyone got an air rifle? :wack: ROFL, so true mate! Thank you fella! Sort your pics out. Thanks Mark! Dude, these things are awesome. Seriously Nurburgringable now :p I would think they would piss a trackday no problem. :duffer: to all!
  19. They do work, many race cars have them from Vipers and corvettes all the way to F1. But they would not work at low speeds, under 70mph for example, as there is just not enough air flowing for it to work properly. Aerodynamic devices work better the higher speed you achieve.
  20. Well it's fitted at long last! Before. After :D :hyper: A closeup. Bear in mind these wheels are 18" there's not a lot of room left  Old vs. new comparison :wack: :smash: :duffer:
  21. :( Oh no! That's really bad. The crash didn't look hard at all really? He must have landed funny. RIP Craig
  22. What shape are your injector electrical connectors? Square (early type) or rounded (later type)?
  23. Not true. My heart is made of stone, there's no love in it :D
  24. Blimey! Seems more than just a one off faliure then?
