1. Happy Birthday Paul! Have a good one. :duffer:
2. They're the exact same length Mark.
3. Another local Zedder :D I'm currently at work in Wednesbury, right near The Coachmaker :D Sounds like MAF though to me, check the plug is seated properly and the connectors are nice and clean. Rob.
4. Good to see you got it sorted Murt! Well done OldZed too.
5. I use those on both my Zeds without any problems! Also for the price of them if you ever suspect a problem you can throw the whole lot away and buy some fresh ones.
6. Of all the UK ones I've seen, they've all had CC fitted.
7. Here's my Zed with Kakimoto single exit exhaust making my mates giggle like kids haha I've got a few others on youtube as well. Enjoy :D
8. Oh, stock turbo is T25, so you will need T2 style turbo flange (assuming you're keeping stock manifolds).
9. Haha that's hilarious! Melting the tyres on the dyno..... class! 3" should be fine, assuming you're going for larger turbos (for 500hp) then it will be perfect. Oh, and with a project as cool as this, feel free to drift off topic as much as you like :D :duffer: Rob.
10. He's only just bought those, I'm not sure what size wheels he had on when he did that, possibly 17"s He'll be here soon enough to clear it up though :D
11. I think that was standard. As beermonster said, the options were paint colour, auto/manual and leather/velour trim. Nothing like a ford with millions of options to choose from :headvswal
12. LOL sounds like a cool project mate! The biggest restiction on a turbo Z exhaust system is the cast manifold. For the power you're chasing it might be advisable to buy some mike smith manifolds (or copies;)) and go from there. I would think 2.5" downpipes would be fine, just remember to make the single pipe 3" or 3.5" diameter. As for silencers, again they're not critical. Just make sure they're straight through design not composite baffle and you'll be ok. Reading your last post again, are you going for single or twin turbo?
13. Oh and fantastic project :D:D What's the body made of? FG or steel?
14. To answer your original question then..... All single exit pipes join after the cats, this is because there is no space to join then up before that area. I think you'd be ok joining the pipes up by the turbos, a turbo exhaust system is not a very critical thing compared to a highly tuned N/A engine. HTH Rob.
15. The only problem I see doing that in a Z32 is the lack of space in that particular area. You can just about get a hand above the gearbox and below the shell......
16. Well according to this speed calculator: http://www.240edge.com/performance/top-speed-calc.html Assuming you were in a TT manual on stock UK 245/45/16 rear tyres at 6000rpm your speed was 159mph :D Data used: Revs 6000 Tyre width 245 Profile 45 Rim Diameter 16 Final transmision gear 0.752 (5th gear) Diff ratio 3.69
17. I believe it's Zirconia that we need. I've ordered 2 for myself and I'm awaiting delivery as we speak :D
18. A BHP increase only helps accelleration performance and top speed. Reducing weight helps accelleration, braking and cornering! As a certain Colin Chapman once said "For speed, add lightness......" he was a gifted genius in his day. Maybe the best ever F1 designer ever.
19. Hehe for what it's worth, i was peeing myself laughing when I first saw it!!!!! Still makes me chuckle now. :D :D What a complete looser that kid is! Rob.
20. It was only 65 miles south of me and we don't seem to have any meets in the south Midlands now so I thought I'd try to get to one last meet before the new year :) :duffer: To be honest the only guy I knew there was Murt so I was a little lost :mac1: but hey, the meal was really nice
21. Well hurry up and bloody buy it man! :D
22. You know, I've got EXACTLY the same problem on my black Z. I have swapped from some japanese ecu to a JD and it made no difference, boost kept the same @ 0.8 bar, fuel: V-Power.... I have not had enough time to fully fault find the problem yet (it's been a busy year) but hopefully next year I'll sort it. By the way Paul, did you fix your problem?
23. Same Bomex mirrors as mine! :hyper:
24. Just buy the damn thing and worry about it later. Anyway, why not have 2 cars? With the price of them lately anyone car afford 2 zeds :D I couldn't bear to see some chav rip up the road with either of mine after paying me £1500 or whatever they're worth at the moment...... :(:nono::mad::cry:
