  1. when decking the block and havng the Head skimmed you need thicker gaskets .045 are stock size now the Machine shop should be only taking around 5>8th each from the Deck and the Heads .. so u will end up with 10>16th less over all this has to be reflected with the gasket u buy ( 051>053 / 1.4>1.5mm ) this is one of the main reasons u buy your gaskets last now if you do use the gaskets u have u need to make sure that there is no piston>valve contact but will give u a slightly high comp ratio i'm not saying dont use them or to .. but what i have said is the Normal rule for building its your choice if u use ... on other engines that i have built Non VG30dett .. its been ok to use the sock size gasket with machined ... and the engines are still going strong today Mark
  2. gen rule is u need longer studs for any spacer larger than 5mm .. but this all so depends on the wheel hub and how thick that is .. fit the wheel with the spacer and see how much thread of the stud protrude out past the hole if its around 3/4 of the Nut it will be fine any less well Studs u will need
  3. ACL Main and rods .. from Ebay uk suppliers or usa cpz or z1
  4. prob just the motor .. i can sort one out for u for 13 posted .. there quit common to rusting up and can be replaced without removing bot ps did reply to your wanted

  6. if you have round tips u can buy exhaust bungs that will drop the DB down ... i have used them on tracks before .. Ebay .. ready made from 7 quid each
  7. MPG goes down with cold weather anyways .. by around 3>5mpg
  8. Shotz m8 .. nice buy there but from the pics they look nothing like the msp or ams copys ... from the outside they should have bigger internal bore .. than stock hope these pics help

  12. Any update with this .. Group buy anyone ?
  13. yep ... overflow tank .. and me and others dont have it at all ..
  14. Main visual differeces are fuel tank filler cap .. lwb after wheel arch .. swb before wheel arch And no bk seats ... Thay are more but with out scouring it all over go unoticed From a distence not much In sight
  15. Yeah sorry 1 to 2 inch As for it drawing water bk in no it dosent its there to stop air entering the system when it builds to much pressure and releasing to the bottel And tbh it shouldnt be doing that anyways Under normal driving conditions If the level of water in rad when cold is the same from day to day Nothing to panic about
  16. when the engine is cold the water level will be around 1>2 from the top cap there abouts .. when the engine is hot should be to the point it over flows a little .. as there is build up heat pressure makes the water expand a little
  17. well happy birthday :)
  18. eerrmmm not sure what the Ebay ones are like ... i generally use Genuine nissan ones carnt go to wrong with them ... and the Turbo Flange ones i try and use the 1mm thick ones but if u have the Alloy flat ones they be ok
  19. yes .. if u have new ones just do it .. and buy good quality ones
  20. well they would make the car perform better ... so thats a bonus but i would still be checking them .. given the age of them and with symptoms of a blocked cat
  21. Nothing to do with the Maf .... i would say u need to investigate it ... its poss that the cat its self is about to or has collapsed and is blocking the gas flow this would make the engine have poor performance and Heat up the exhaust ..
  22. for how much they are ... it would be wise just to fit new ones if u can
