Moman Dials anyone?
I'm sure someone that's done it will be along soon!

Moman Dials anyone?
Couple of people on here (mondo maybe?) have got rid of the bulbs and put led strips around the area behind the clocks, which apparently give a much more even light. I've got some on order to have a go myself!

Found out some history about my zed
Yes I'm well acquainted with Jimmer :smartass: the others are bloomin' miles away so not as if I can just pop in for a quick chat!

JDM rear fog
Wire it up to the front fog relay so they come on at the same time. Been meaning to do this to mine for ages, haven't got round to it yet. Why on earth would you bother having a separate switch stuck on at some random place?!?

Autowatch Alarm Systems
Adrian Flux didn't really care what alarm I had. I told them it was a cat 1, as that's what the manual said it was, and they just said ok. Not saying you shouldn't change it if you want to, just info

Who Lives Near Worcester...I Need A Favour Please.
Fair enough, I would have thought overall compared to this one you're looking at it wouldn't be worth the hassle!

Yea I was wondering about taking it to him to have a look at. It's a long way, but isn't turbonoz in the same neck of the woods? Would be well worth the trip then :thumbup1:

Well I wish you were still in business then!

Found out some history about my zed
Well that's what I'm hoping I suppose. Haven't had a chance to check the drain tubes yet, I will do though. I did notice the rear subframe bar that goes to near the rear sill was wet though despite the car not being moved, so my guess is that water is leaking through there from somewhere

Just the welding, some local mot place. The welder even burnt the paint on the door above

Found out some history about my zed
Yea maybe, the last job I have is for £600 for one rear sill and it's a right bodge, didn't even skim it with filler

Good idea, they're still there but could have become disconnected inside I suppose, will have to check

Found out some history about my zed
Reading through some old threads the other day, I unexpectedly found a previous owner of my zed, so naturally I did a bit of digging! And found out some quite worrying things... Looks like it had major welding done TWICE (for some reason?!?) In 2012 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?158835-Loads-of-work-done-Thank-you-Lee-) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?162871-Got-the-Old-Girl-back-from-the-bodyshop-) And I've then got an invoice that it had one of the sills done AGAIN in 2014, AND the other sill has currently got a horrible patch on it so looks like that was done again... AND it still needs all redoing again now! Including one of the arches. Needless to say this all has me very worried. I wasn't bothered about having to shell out for the welding, but on the assumption that once it was done I would be good to go for donkeys years. How can it keep going so bad so quickly?!?

Clocks
I believe historically all jap cars are limited to 180kph as part of an agreement between the manufacturers. Not sure if it still stands though

Air con, cruise control and recirc valves
I'm looking to reinstall all of the above to my zed, so looking for some good used stuff! With the air con, the ecu is still in place so I don't need that, and if that wasn't removed I presume the core is still in the dash somewhere. But I suppose if someone's got one, I might as well take it just in case. I don't need the receiver/dryer as I will get a new one. I don't know much about the system so not 100% sure what is needed, I was hoping I could find someone who has removed all theirs and just take the lot! With the cruise control, ecu is still there also, all the buttons present etc. Is it just the pump and clutch switch that I need? Seems to be two brake switches there already, it's an auto conversion though so I suppose the wiring for a clutch switch may not be there. Again, don't know loads about the system so not sure, any pointers appreciated :-) Not sure what there is to say about the recirc valves! I live in Wokingham and work in Bath so can collect all around that M4 corridor. What have you got?!?

Warning light ??
Are they led lights? It will be the change in resistance compared to a normal bulb I think, mine started doing it when I swapped to led bulbs. Not sure if that's an mot failure?

What did you do to your zed today?
Picked my baby up from powerzed last night after having new plugs, general health check (lots of boost leaks fixed) and a one piece prop to replace my knackered old two piece. The difference is incredible, I'm so happy with it! Everything is so much smoother now. But it looks like my turbos need doing as they're smoking badly, so that's next on the list now!

Didn't your wheel fall off :wack:

Timing marks
Oh yes, apologies, looks like I can't read properly  well maybe I'm changing my mind about the pulleys then :tt2: but the tensioner is in the 60k kit I feel for you, I really do, I would have thought EXACTLY the same at your age! But experience does count for something... I didn't change the tensioner when I did the cambelt on my girlfriends saxo, trying to be cheap, it was fine before the change but made a horrible racket afterwards. Luckily I caught it before it let go. Lesson learnt!
-
Timing marks
Well they're included in the 60k kit so if you think the cambelt needs doing, surely they need doing as well? If you don't, it could be big trouble in the future. Did you not just buy a kit?

Black Z thread
Ha maybe, but I really hate nose scoops and intercooler ducts, and without a number plate or a change of colour to break the front up a bit the bumper looks like a gap-toothed kid. I like the back from dead on, but I agree from the other angles it looks out of proportion

Black Z thread
The backs awesome. The front is horrible!
