  1. True, I suppose they don't all look at all the auction houses. But you may be able to see some at least, if you're interested
  2. Been on car sensor a while I think http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU4522575551/index.html?TRCD=200002 Btw, sorry if you already know this, but just realised in the first post you said you can't see sale prices. You can on http://www.japan-partner.com/car-auction/list.html :thumbup1:
  3. I asked about this one, bit above my budget though :(
  4. Is that standard interior?
  5. Ha yea I can believe that. I don't know what it is about my zed, but it seems really warm inside even when the outside temperature is only 10-15C, far more so than any other car I've owned. Glass roof maybe...
  6. Same here, I still wanted air con even with the tops off! I hate not having it, makes driving it uncomfortable
  7. Hadn't seen them before, they are very similar! They're a take on F40 wheels really
  8. Cheers guys, I was a bit skeptical about the wheels before I bought them, but I love them to bits now. They're 3SDM 0.05's
  9. Gave it a well earned clean Please don't look too closely at the front bumper
  10. Drove in France last summer from dieppe to near la Rochelle, and barely saw any cars the whole way. Went right past le mans as it was underway, and still nothing. Plus, not a single lane hogger! They all can't wait to pull back into the slow lane. Makes our roads look like a bad joke! If we didn't see a car for 10 minutes it wasn't unusual.
  11. What you've done there is admit the bbc is better than commercial TV! Well, one of them anyway, but do sky reeeally show anything that's better, apart from some big American blockbuster's?
  12. This is of course very off topic now, but I'm always stunned by how short sited people can be when it comes to the BBC. The license fee structure is of course outdated, but people only seem to talk about the TV. What about their radio and news services? Got to think of them as well, your moneys not just going on TV, they do a lot and provide a lot of services. What gets me though is that people don't think about what TV would be like if the beeb didn't exist. Because it has no adverts, other channels can't have too many because it would look too bad compared to the beeb and people wouldn't watch. Take the beeb away, and they'll go nuts. Ever seen American TV? Absolutely unbearable nonsense on the most part, you would spend 1/3 of your TV life watching dreadful adverts, sports would be bursting with cringing product placements. The news would degenerate into the awful biased crap they have in the US as they don't have to compare themselves to the (supposedly) unbiased bbc. All sounds like my idea of hell, best £140 you could spend! Though I get if you solely watch on demand and nothing else, must be pretty annoying, but I don't think there can be many that ONLY watch that, regardless of what they may say
  13. Hopefully they can sort something out for you, keep at it!
  14. I don't really get what all the fuss is about to be honest... I thought it was more of the same old painfully forced and scripted crap top gear has been farting out for the last 5 years! It was exactly what I expected it to be tbh. Top gear has been rubbish for a long time, this is nothing new
  15. Where did you buy it? Is it genuine?
  16. Just had a look at the quote again, that's with 360 deg bearings and step gap performance piston rings. But if there's damage to the core(s) you may be looking at up to double that
  17. Jimmer told me he uses midland turbo for recons. I had a quote for something like £450 for standard ones with uprated seals and bearings from them
  18. Used to be one sitting around outside a pub my way, not sure if it's there anymore. Looked in reasonable condition, just not very good looking imo. Only one I've ever seen though I think.
  19. I did a bit at uni, be prepared to get covered in loads of itchy fibres! We found it really difficult to get good finishes, but I'm sure with enough practice you'll get the hang of it.
  20. Do you think it's just because it's a manual?
  21. My first thought was roll bar drop links when you said clunking when moving, wouldn't have thought they could grind though. I would be surprised if strut bearings would clunk over bumps as they should still be in compression so what could the bumps do. But clunking when steering does sound like the strut bearings so maybe worth a look anyway. Like si is alluding to, I'd try full lock to full lock a couple of times when stationary to see what happens. They could be separate issues though, I've always found it extremely difficult to judge the location of a noise from in the car. I had a grinding that I was absolutely convinced was from the front, turned out to be a rear brake sticking.
  22. Don't really know anything about these exact products, but Alpine are a good brand so I don't really see how far wrong you can go. Remember if you don't have an aftermarket head unit already, then you'll need an iso adapter to plug it into the zed. Also not sure 6.5" speakers always fit in standard doors without either some modifications (space them out from the door) or new speaker panels, like these https://conceptzperformance.com/maniacal-motorsport-front-speaker-door-plate-brackets-non-bose-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-mm-28160-30pkt_p_16782.php. You'll have to have a look at yours though I think. Component speakers would make a huge difference, but doesn't sound like you'll want to mount the tweeters anywhere. Though you don't have to drill holes or anything, I've toyed with the idea of pillar single gauge holders with tweeters in them. Oh and on the subject of not wanting to alter your zed at all (again don't know if you have an aftermarket head unit already), but if you want to stereo to dim when the lights are on you'll have to take a feed from somewhere for the lights. I took mine from the clock underneath (as it dims when the lights are on), not a big job or anything and it's not like drilling holes in the dash, but something to bear in mind. You may find it unbearably bright at night if you don't! Sorry if I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs :innocent:
