  4. I just had the manual conversion which i believe is a much better investment than repairing the auto. I know how you feel  . it may only be a speed sensor or something minor, but the autobox still has to come out and be repaired by a specialist. best of luck whatever you do. SWZ are doing a special on manual conversions for october
  5. Will the usual supects push on a bit and try and make it to a million before xmas? Wonder what the millionth poster will get as a prize :smash: Sorry i'm pissd again
  6. pmsl
  7.
  8. Nice one Richard, i guess you guys are getting decent weather too. Strange you didn't see other z's, guess it made you feel even more special :)
  9. loveable guy, but can be annoying sometimes. At least he's always himself
  10. I never found a huge difference, as Neil said power will come on if you slam it anyway, but its a cool button though. I used to tell my kids never ever touch that button while im driving or the car will take off lol
  11. That is one sweet z for peanuts well done! Pearl white is my fave colour. Can't believe you got it for that kind of money. Welcome to the club :duffer:
  12. cheers. The boy in question has an older brother (12) with downs syndrome. he is an unusually kind and thoughtful kid and has been brought up looking after his older brother. i think that may be to do with being a target for bullies. yeah trish i thought about it, but you know what these small communities are like. I think the spin in the z made up for it tho ;)
  13. A friend of the Mrs meets her outside school everyday to pick up the kids, and she's always saying how much her 10 year old loves my z, anytime he sees it in the village he get's pretty excited lol (we were all 10 once remember). Just heard yesterday he's getting a bit of bullying , nothing serious, but I believe he's a very soft and quiet kid. so today at 3 o'clock after getting the ok with his mum i pulled up in a big shiny red Z right at the school gates. You should have seen his face when i told him i was taking him home, priceless lol :D A few of the kids were shouting something a him, he just turned gave them the finger and hopped in. :p The other kids were left with their jaws hanging as we left. Felt good to see the little fella with a big grin after I dropped him home.
  14. That sounds good to me If everyone's OK with it. Long drive, but what the hell, nothing like a road trip ;) wouldn't mind a go at the drag strip either if there isn't a huge queue
  15. how far is that from Waterford mark? Sounds nice. If we could arrange a b+b maybe a few pints and make a night out of it?
  16. Anywhere but Dublin. Always rains there lol. How about kildare? just a thought.
  17. cheers for the advice everyone, i'll have to clean lights simple as that. I'm not complaining about the zcentre ones btw, anyone who's got them is happy with them Just goes to show HID's aren't always the answer if your light reflectors/lenses are in bad shape. I know it's been said time and time again on here to take apart your lights and clean them, I just thought the lazy way out was the answer.
  18. Just had them professionally re-aligned at advance pitstop, waiting for dark to come. They still look much the same as in the photo up top, sort of a misty look in the lens. definitely not condensation.
  19. wow I do like them! Well done , never thought stock alloys could look so good.
  20. that could have something to do with the strange "aroraborealis" i'm getting around the lens? It looks like they are not correctly adjusted, but no matter how i adjust them this strange marking is still there
  21. definitely something wrong then. Just taken close-ups so you can see the difference
  22. Reckon i'm ok there, can't remember exactly the spec but it's fairly high from what i looked at in the shop.
  23. not too sure, they give off a blue/whitish glow when looking direcly at the lights. I left the box etc. at work. As I said they are the z-centre ones so some-one here might know
  24. Before anyone asks; I know it's me , but they ARE fitted correctly. They are the zcentre ones, so tried and tested. I've tried adjusting them vertically+horizontally but all i get is dim whitish light. I've now come to the conclusion that my lights are so dirty inside the units that i've no choice but to remove them take them apart and clean them. Wasn't expecting this. I was so dissapointed last night, I was convinced i had done something wrong. But I checked everything today, earthed to the body, dips come on with head beams etc. so it's not the hid's, it's the light enclosure i'm pretty sure. I'm going to try and buy a set on here if possible, do the clean-up job and then swap. The passenger side horizontal adjustment screw doesn't work on mine, so think i'll get rid altogether.
