Had enough..new computer tomorrow
Too late Andy, got myself a compaq presario (or something like that) from pc world with a 3 year guarantee  yeah i know. But I have the warranty, covers accidental damage and all that. Very happy , nice bit of kit ,only thing is it's windows vista, but i'm sure i'll get used to it. I'm still on my antique for now, fun for the weekend transfering all my stuff over.

any way of tracing numbers
There is a program you can get over here which you can track mobiles, texts etc. My wifes best friend has just been caught out on it by her hubby :( . Serious hackers program and probably illegal, would love to tell you the name of it but i'm keeping out of all the shite at the moment , i'm not talking to the guy so can't ask him. all i know is once you have a number you've got everything on them, calls, texts, times, etc.......................scary stuff

Had enough..new computer tomorrow
Just after downloading Athene's newsletter I asked my box of wonder to print it off. You'd swear i asked it the fcuking meaning of life :mad:went crazy and froze for the millionth time. I've got an old compaq which i bought second hand 5 years ago and it's now time for the bin. So Fcking sick of this, I won't even go to the pics/media section anymore because it's in danger of blowing up if i do. If there was a competition for slowest computer of the month i'd sure win that too :( First thing tomorrow i am going to pcworld to be annoyed by rude salespeople, ripped off because i won't know what i'm buying, but come out with a big box containing a decent laptop..I hope. If anyone's got advice on laptop's nows the time

engine comin out
Good stuff, I likey when people take pics during a major job, wish i'd think of it myself sometimes. best of luck with the rebuild :)

can't stop playing with my knob..
can't say it's any faster but obviously a lot more thrills taking it through corners .The sound of the engine has improved , although my cats need looking at tomorrow. The "grunt" factor of using the throttle and gears and being in total control is putting a big smile on my face :) lots of people on here have had the job done, and I havn't seen anyone complain. But I know there will be times when I'm going to miss that super smooth gearchange of the auto. Was it worth the money? a giant YES :duffer:

can't stop playing with my knob..
and here is my new knob/leather gater and new momo steering wheel and new handbrake cover  New steering wheel completely updates the interior, even though I love the stock one

catalytic convertors lifespan
think i've got as much power as i can handle now, without adding more, but i'll keep my options open lol.

can't stop playing with my knob..
Have to say it's the dogs danglies  only problem is I find myself revving at the lights like a boy racer! A lot more fun now i'm getting used to it. To be in control of the power for a change is very satisfying! I'm still fond of the smooth auto power, and I wouldn't knock autos, if nissan had made them better i'd still have one, but the manual really is a fun car. Gave her the hollies tonight on a long straight into a tight curve and frightened the shite out of myself lol, if I keep this up I'll be needing a new engine too  :)

catalytic convertors lifespan
Think mine are on the way out. If you listen beneath the car and rev it a bit, there is a farty/nasty spluttering noise coming from them on return. It may be o2 sensor. are there 1 or 2 on each one? if mine are shot, i'd rather replace them than bypass . Are they expensive new? cheers Mick

Help! no indicators or hazards
Cheers everyone, problem solved. Mechanic called me this morning, it seems the brake pedal was the culprit. A connector he forgot or didn't see which is attatched to it. :)

is this a meet?
isn't it unfair to think Trish can delete our posts at will? I wonder how she will control her new power? :duffer: and more :duffer: probably :p

fao chewie
Cheers mark, bit late when i got her back tonight, indicators aren't working but still managed a spin lol! Very strange at first, auto's definitely quicker 0-100. Maybe i'll improve a bit though as trish has offered "lessons"  Also my left leg is banging into the steering wheel when i take my foot off the clutch. tried moving the seat in every direction, might have to adjust the clutch or something. Seems to come out very far. All in all i'm delighted, never thought i'd see it finished, cheers :duffer:

Help! no indicators or hazards
hazards don't work and opened the casing to see if anything had been pulled in their too. So guess I can rule that out. There are various wires that hang down under the steering wheel when you remove the panel .I just can't identify which one is for the indicator and trace it back to a break somewhere. Oh well, tomorrow is another day

Revs and stalling
Must be the sensor on the end of gearbox as suggested. My idle is fine now since the manual gearbox.

Help! no indicators or hazards
Just got the car back manual conversion completed. But we've spent the last hour trying to get the indicators to work with no luck. Mechanic reckons he might have broken a connection when he was at the pedals. We've searched all around the area beneath the steering wheel but can't find anything out of place. We've also checked fuses. Any suggestions?
