Lower Arm Ball Joint Bush
Ok, I took off the lower arm and removed it by hitting it with large hammer. Thing is the saddle looks like its part of the old ball joint, it doesnt look like it comes off, but if it does, does it screw off?

Lower Arm Ball Joint Bush
Hey, you may remember this thread. Anyway, I ordered the ball joint and I was attempting to do it today, but I cant get the old one out. I have the circlip off and the nut at the top, but I can't push the balljoint out of the arm. Any suggestions? I've considered taking the lower arm off for easy access (unsure how difficult this is, should only be one bolt).

Lower Arm Ball Joint Bush
I think I've seen a replacement cone for sale during my research, but shouldn't need that. I get it, the ball joint and bush are one part. Great, that's I'll contact a trader and get one ordered! Cheers! :)

Lower Arm Ball Joint Bush
So, could I replace the bush without removing the ball joint, or do I need to remove it to fit a new bush?

Lower Arm Ball Joint Bush
Hey, I have lots of play on the lower arm ball join bush, the rubber is finished and there is a lot of play in it, easy MOT failure. Anyway, please can someone tell me if can I replace the bush alone, or will it have to be the whole ball joint, or worse still - the whole lower arm (wishbone)? Cheers!

wheel change steering problem
I think this thread just solved my problem. I've had an occasional knocking I coudnt identify, now I'm fairly sure its a lower control arm. Not my car, or a Zed, but very helpful http://youtu.be/RKq8PZGRcHI

Bike baffles
I'm not sure, I'd have to have a look at how the exhaust is connected. As long as its the correct bore, will any work?

With the MAF disconnected it will run either very badly, or maybe not even start, in my experience.

Bike baffles
I just cant take the noise any more! LOL, it really is getting to me now. I mean, as far as I can wok out its a straight through system and I haven't heard a louder exhaust system on any other car. I think I'm already low on power, don't think she's pulling properly, taking too long for the power to kick in. But I'll get to that prob, right now have bigger personal fish to fry...my Zeds is a bit on the back burner right now, sadly. Anyway...I use my Zed as a daily driver, and I just need to make her quieter, even if it mean losing some power.

Bike baffles
Hey, Ok, long story short I can't use regular car baffles on my exhaust, they're all too large! Motorbike baffles will fit though. My exhaust exit is 2", but inside a 'false' larger exit. Another problem is mounting them. Normally they attach by a screw fixed through a hole drilled into the exhaust. However, my true exit goes directly into the main box of the exhaust, so fixing it through a hole isn't an option, I'm thinking about constructing a bracket to hold it as well as using Quicksteel. I guess my question is, is there any reason why Motorbike baffles wont work, reduce the Db? I have a bit of a DIY exhaust system, so just swapping back boxes isn't a simple cheap option. EDIT - Pics

Miss Fire bad running Please help
I would defo being looking at the MAF or connections, or at least the mixture, as I've had similar problems with other cars in the past. It sounds like the engine is getting too much, or too little air. This is all based on non turbo knowledge. never had a turbo :( , but could help... Maybe look at the TPS too, but don't think that's the prob, but you never know....

Tinting rear lights, gloss effect?
Thanks!! Savage it is then! I probably should take the lights off the car, had considered doing it on the car, but runs are evil things. I think I'll get some Scotchbrite too, though can't remember it ever coming off in the past.

Rusty fuel filler pipe.
LOL - Yep, I'm fairly rust free, but my pipe and surrounding brackets etc were very bad! Did I mention there was soil. :)

Tinting rear lights, gloss effect?
The last stuff I've used was Savage tint spray. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Savage-A195-Light-Tinting-Spray/dp/B0030EBT4O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306071166&sr=1-1 Was planning on using this again.

Tinting rear lights, gloss effect?
Hi, I've tinted the rear lights on many cars in my life. I remember the first couple of times I ended up with a fairly glossy finish. The last couple of cars I did (more memorable was my Probe) I ended up with a very dull flat matt finish. Now maybe tint spray has changed over the years, maybe I've used a cheaper brand or something. Not sure. I want to do my Zed (just smoked not totally black) but I want a glossy finish. Any ideas or suggestions how I ensure I end up with a glossy result? The matt or glossy finish seems to be random. I seem to remember applying clear lacquer in the past, but seem to remember it reacting with the tint. On googling this someone suggested apply this - http://www.allartsupplies.com/item.php?articleId=2438&gclid=CO7U8s3T-6gCFUEa4Qod3EkaSA Cheers!

Rusty fuel filler pipe.
Sounds very similar to mine! £200 really? You mean though Nissan?

Rusty fuel filler pipe.
Wow! Mine is nowhere near that bad! The filler neck isn't too bad. The worse has been the brackets (which are gone now) that support the pipe and the guard. I first noticed fuel dripping from the bottom of the bumper, filler side...obviously. It wasn't a lot but was beginning to concern me. I happened to look into the dark filler hole one day and wondered how I hadn't noticed the huge hole to the left at the very beginning of the pipe!! The rest of the pipe had serious surface rust and was on its way to pipe heaven. I'm hoping I've prevented this, or at least slowed it for a good few years. As for all the soil...me thinks someone has been doing donuts in a field!

Rusty fuel filler pipe.
I've just spent most of the day patching a large hole in my fuel tank filler pipe using Quick Steel. I then got rid of all the rust that I could, then I coated the thing in 3 coats of Hammerite. The place where the guard was meant to attach to has disintegrated, so I haven't been able to put that back on. When I pulled the guard off there was half a field of soil behind it for some reason. I suppose a good job done, but I can think of more fun things to do on a Saturday!

Spark plugs for NA
I use 5w40 oil...I haven't got a preference on the make. Apparently the best filter is the Nissan OEM one, but haven't used one yet.
