  1. to put this to bed, my brakes are now fixed and it wasn't a corroded brake pipe! turns out the pipes had been rubbing together and had rubbed to the point it cause a small hole in the one pipe. still all fixed now, and the cars just been machine polished and waxed ready to put a few miles on tomorrow.
  2. easy and cheap enough to buy on ebay search for spring clips, simply order them to match your fuel hose size
  3. as long as the wheel size currently on the car clears the brakes, stick with same diameter wheels and you'll be good to go
  4. hi Arthur yes please, drop me a pm with how you'd like payment, I may not pick it up till friday as I'm now working for 2 nights. as for the ebay ones I ordered a set, they arrived today and they only have one strain relief mounting not 2 as required, which would leave the hose rubbing against a metal edge so they are now going back.
  5. hi Andrew these are the ones, what made me stop and look was it says 'minor mods' maybe needed, but I'm running stock callipers (early JDM series 1)
  6. hi guys as I need to get brake pipes replaced in the coming weeks, I've decided I need to also replace the rubber Flexi hoses as these are starting to go hard, I think they are the originals. are these braided hoses the correct ones? I see 2 different types listed for the zed, but I'm not sure if there are the right ones
  7. thanks Andrew been out and had another look since posting, it looks like it's one of the 3 running front to back (46250 on the diagram) I'll have a word with my neighbour (who owns a garage) and see if he can get it in and replace all 3, hopefully he can tow it as the brake pedal is just hitting the floor at the moment
  8. hi guys just had a brake pipe let go, the fluid is leaking at the rear of the floor pan on the drivers side, isn't this where the the pipes junction from the abs unit? not had chance to drop the cover off yet to investigate it.
  9. just a little tinkering today, images attached of before a visit to jimmer for a cam belt change, after and now with the OEM intake hoses fitted, seems to run a little better now too, now I have a brake line to sort that has just decided it dosen't like fluid anymore........
  10. it could be condensation in the exhaust that will take a good run to clear rather than idling, however if using coolant I'd check the cooling system, by pressure testing it and looking for any visible leaks
  11. You could try amayama.com with the part number see if new is available from Japan
  12. I bought the zed performance set from the usa, they were easy to fit and still look ok, they are powder coated aluminium so shouldn't rot for a few years
  13. I'm not running huge power, only stage 1 and going to keep it at that, so standard clamps will be sufficient for purpose, it seems subtle mods is the way to go with these cars now.
  14. I don't have standard jubilee clamps currently but got mikalor heavy duty clamps, but I'm leaning more towards oem, will keep the blue silicone hoses but that'll be it
  15. so in a moment of madness I've just ordered an oem set of intake pipes, now I currently have hard pipes on so was wondering if anything similar to the original jubilee clamps is available (and what size I need) or would I just need to buy standard clamps?
  16. most batteries are sealed these days so just charge as normal, my z is currently on a trickle charger, thats left on 24/7 over winter
  17. depending if your car is LWB or SWB targa seals are available new from CZP or Z1, door seals for SWB are available from the same sources but unfortunately LWB door seals are no longer available.
  18. just my 2p worth there is a breaker who is trying to increase parts prices (not banzai), unfortunately most of the parts supplied are old crap and means extra expense to replace, I did see a manual conversion kit on FB a while ago that was 2k but had loads of new bits with it such as flywheel, clutch kit and clutch lines etc. IMHO you would be better off talking to jimmer at Powerzed first before purchasing any 'kits'
  19. a few years ago when I fitted new shocks I bought z1 shock boots for the rear, within 500 miles they had split and fell apart, I raised a ticket with z1 and they didn't even bother to respond, I also bought a pcv silicone hose kit from them, only to find 3 years later they were bleeding oil, because they were not flouro lined so I ended up buying a set from sfs I only buy genuine OEM from z1 now
  20. where you have the 3 outlets on the drivers side look for a 4th larger outlet on the end knuckle
  21. think I saw yours when my zed was with jimmer a few weeks ago, that exhaust is a work of art, should see the mess powerflow made of mine, exhaust is my next 'to do' job after winter
  22. infinity exhausts bristol can build you one
  23. it's a pain, I live in the middle of the sticks so no garages local to me stock super unleaded which is unbelievable, my nearest shell garage is 20 miles away so I have to plan my days out carefully. it dosen't help that forecourt tanks are usually bigger for regular petrol and they stock far less 'super' but in the short term e10 should be fine until you can get super, its regular prolonged use that will cause issues.
  24. depending on what exactly you need you could try CZP or Z1 in the usa, or amiyama.com. keep in mind though a lot of oem parts are no longer available from nissan so aftermarket is the only way to go.
  25. So I needed a new cowl trim so I bit the bullet and bought silicone oil cooler pipes as well, would the constant tension spring clips (same as on the fuel lines) be ok on these or would I be better off using screw type clips like the originals?
