Remind him that from the factory imprezzas are fitted with unequal length manifolds and as such every engine is unbalanced from the factory. Also they look a little boring, are driven by all the people who used to drive cosworths, novas and renault gt turbos, they build up underbonnet heat, have intercoolers on top of the engine and their interiors look like they were designed back in the early 80's.

What does your stock boost gauge read when idling? Is the needle all the way to -14? (it should be, otherwise you've got a leak somewhere). Are you sure the aftermarket gauge is reading psi not bar? cos 0.4 bar is about 6.5psi

From what I hear the Integra(s) are pretty much the best handling front wheel drive cars you can buy. Apparently the DC5 version is a lot easier to live with than the previous generation and handles just as well. Although I also hear these new I-Vtecs' don't have the sudden change in valve actuation when you hit 6500 and as such aren't quite as exciting.

Interesting, do you know anywhere that matches UK light sockets to American sizes? I quite fancy some of those LED bulbs but I havent got a clue which ones to get.

I've heard the VG30DETT is a non-interference engine, so unlike most engines- if your cambelt goes your pistons aren't going to go crashing into your valves. Dunno whether there any clearance issues with NA pistons though, and don't quote me on this, its only what I've heard, I've never actually opened one up and had a look.

We were talking aboot this a while back, search for LPG, Gas and Autogas. Ive been thinking about doing it but I don't think it would go very well with our hot engines and (comparatively) high pressure turbos, the turbo cars that have been converted are usually Volvos, Saabs etc. I think it would work fine if you used a boost controller to turn your boost off, also you'd probably have to use a toroidal LPG tank that replaces the spare wheel so boot space is pretty much a no-no.

I'd take a chunk out of that surfboard and then bite the surfer in half, I'd then devour him and go back to swimming in the Pacific.
