  1. Ah, but its a known fault that he had no knowledge of before the crash, I also think its something he couldn't reasonably have known about or checked for.
  2. I dunno if it would help but you could point them to the bit of pipe near the throttle bodies that causes the accelerator to stick, if its loose then thats probably all the evidence you need, being a design fault I dunno if you could reasonably be held liable.
  3. Lololol, I don't think many people have bought the dvd of hostel (the proper one anyway)- AFAIK its not out on dvd yet
  4. Bad hot start sounds like dodgy PTU, could the coolant problem be a jammed thermostat? How hot does the radiator get when the car has been running for a while?
  5. You got that right, I thought it would feel like a TT only less powerful but it doesn't- its so much more eager to move, there's none of that slight pause before anything happens. On paper, its 0-60 isn't that much different to my old prelude but this car feels so much faster. And then there's the noise- OH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. My TT is giving me such a headache (if you think bird's is bad, you aint seen nothin' yet) so I went down the docks and bought something to replace my £300 Jag: A 35000* mile NA *(could actually be genuine given the almost supernatural condition of the car)
  7. From what I've heard the V3 operating system is an absolute travesty although I've heard other people say its great, and I used to work as a mobile phone repairman so I know not to touch Nokias with a barge pole.
  8. My condolences, still if you're insured enough might not be long before your back in the Z game (actually I'm probably talking bolox, we still havent got our payment from 2 years ago even though we won pretty much hands-down).
  9. LOL, get rid? Bird's is in mint condition compared to my car when I bought it, although I did buy mine with the intention of fixing it up.
  10. My advice is don't break her whatever you do, that means all the money you've poured in will be for nothing, may as well keep going till you get something out of it. Mines been off the road since I bought it in March last year, and I still haven't finished (actually I had finished but the replacement engine I put in fried so I've had to put the old one back in). I've lost count of the number of times I've thrown tools at the wall and 'given up'.
  11. We're testing the 360 version now and it looks amazing, much better than the PC version although it doesn't play quite the same. Although I have to agree that the xbox version looked terrible.
  12. I found you can get a good result but it takes huge amounts of time. If you get a good adhesive and apply it, leave it 15min to tack then stretch it with all your strength into shape, if you pull hard enough you can get the creases to stretch out. Only problem is you have to hold it in position for at least 20min to stop it from moving back and creasing again. I also found you can only do a few centimetres at a time if you want it to go completely crease free. It took me 2 days to get about 1/2 of the interior done, then AndyZ sold me complete interior for just over £100, so my work kind of became redundant.

I worked as an exam script checker once for AQA and that's the kind of thing we saw all the time- weirdest thing I ever got was a bundle of scripts in a plastic bag, all with the corners burnt off, along with a note saying 'There was an incident involving this candidate'.
  14. I take it you mean the one on Autotrader? I was going for that one but it dissapeared, I assumed sold, but now its back (I've since found a nice NA that I want more). If you're lucky it might just be a £30 bearing you could change yourself if you drop the subframe and take apart the sump (graham_foley69 on here has done the same thing recently and it sounds like he ended up with a bargain). On the other hand you may need a new crank or the existing one reground and a few more bearings which means £££.
  15. This is the forum i used, haven't been there in ages though: http://www.endcrypt.co.uk/ Not that I've ever hacked my cable.. Its all hypothetical or something..
  16. Not if you download a tutorial off the net, open up your box and disable the 'talkback' function of your cable box.
  17. I heard there was one around junction10 of the M25, but I think its been closed off because of doggers.
  18. Good luck, like the lads said- keep yo' head down
  19. I found the fit of mine wasn't quite stock and they hang down a bit further, I've heard that series one cars need the pipes to be shortened by a couple of inches. I just kind of crammed mine in, although I'm gonna have to modify the bracket that holds the pipes. With regards to heat, I think the cables are pretty close to the old exhaust location so I don't think you'll have to worry and more than usual.
  20. LOL- my company had that car made to promote the latest Need for Speed game- its supposed to be a copy of the main character's car. We noticed it for sale a little while ago and all had a chuckle- no test drive or inspection if I remember rightly and the bloke said he'd have the car delivered to the winner after he had the £90000 sitting in his hand :slap:
  21. I think they mean the stuntman who was killed on his late late breakfast show: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Late,_Late_Breakfast_Show
  22. I lived with goths for 4 years- plenty of alright people but also plenty of basket cases- one bird made up a story that one of my mates tried to rape her (to get attention/sympathy), then when everyone called her a liar she moved to another town and did it again, then we found out she'd done the same thing back up north before we met her.

  24. those push, pop and move sound like stack operations to me, sorry I couldn't be more help- its been 4 years since i was at uni and I didn't even pay any attention when I was there
  25. I did the outside of mine using some tinting spray, finish I ended up with was not as good as Speedemon's, but then I didn't really try to improve it after spraying- my lights were in a right state and I had nothing to lose by tinting them. I'll probably re-finish the lights I have and then use the spray on the inside next time.
