  1. Download the trial version of Zonelabs security suite, its firewall and virus killer in one. If the virus definitions in that don't find it, Lavasoft's trial Adaware should Then use HijackThis to find any dodgy registry entries that would cause the virus to be re-downloaded when you boot again, be careful not to kill anything important when youre using it though
  2. sorry mods- didn't know that would happen, and I don't think I can delete
  3. I remember the tick- probably the best superhero spoof ever made, I 'know' someone who bittorrented every episode ever made, took me bloody ages to get all 9GB and the quality was variable. SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. True- can't seem to go near the car without losing skin from hands/arms Thanks for the info guys
  5. Me again I'm in the process of reconditioning my Z- about to have my engine and tubs swapped, and i'm trying to find out what other things I should have done whilst its out of the car (i.e. which other jobs require an engine-out). I know EGR removal pretty much requires it and so does swapping the tubs, but does anyone know what other stuff can be done whilst its out of the car? Im planning on changing pumps, altenator, PTU etc. in the future anyway so if any of them need engine-out I'd really appreciate info. Thanks in advance
  6. Cool- thanks for the info
  7. To any of you out there who have experience of engine-outs. Im about to have my engine swapped and at the same time im going to replace nearly all of the under bonnet hoses, except for hard pipes, rad hoses and fuel lines (I'll be going to Smithy for them). Does anyone know the diameter of all those myraid of hoses that seem to surround my engine (EGR, vac hoses etc.)? They all look pretty close to 10mm and seem similar in size, but I need to know exactly so I can buy a length of each size and give them to the engine swap people. Btw. I know I'm going to need high temp/vacuum capable stuff.
  8. Nope, stone cold sober, could spot it was a lemon from 50 miles away and when I got there the warning signs said 'walk away now'. That just made me want to buy it more, I think I just like the sense of achievement that comes from doing something myself. After working on it for while, its condition has been raised from 'shit state' to 'terrible'. With the parts I've ordered and plenty of elbow grease I think I can improve it to 'bad'. Probably be seeing a lot of me in 'Items Wanted'
  9. Technically this wasn't today it was the weekend. Drove my new car home to find exhaust coming out from under the bonnet, found answer to the question of 'why had the seller stopped us from taking it out on the motorway by leaving so little petrol in the tank?'. As soon as engine was off, went inside house, came out with tools, removed worse spoiler in the world. Removed black stick on flames from sides (along with a load of paint). Dissasembled and WD40'd doors to try and get the locks shifting. Inspected car and realised I needed: engine, turbos, hoses, turbo pipes, rear tyres, targa seals, seats, interior trim, air vents, leccy window switches, window motor, stereo, alarm, immobiliser, front speakers, headlight seal, rear bumper, rear window seal, front bumper, side skirts, door cards, propshaft bearing, propshaft?, MAF (or lambda), alternator, PTU and coils. Wondered why my car was still on autotrader, wondered how seller expected us not to say WTF when we noticed car had done 140K not 39K. The end
