Roads - Pay as you go scheme
Human rights never seem to have bothered our government before, and if this sceme is really to cut congestion then WTF are they doing charging people to go down country lanes during off peak hours? (I know its only 2p a mile, but thats still 2p more than they should be charging). Notice how they said fuel tax would be 'reduced' not abolished, so we're still gonna be taxed twice for roads we use once.

Enzo Style Lights
I quite like them, looks like they'll turn out better than fiat ones. Anyone know if someones ever stuck R32 lights in the back? I think they might just fit.

You could sell one of your kidneys and buy a stroker kit to give you 3.2L, and some fancy cylinder linings and cryo treating would give you a couple more bhp (expensive I know). How about a 4.5L V8 engine conversion?, the one that 'friday' guy is doing sounds pretty good, I think someone called John is doing one too.

Personally, if I wasn't such a Prelude head, I'd have a SWB NA as my second car, would go nice with my TT zed (now all I need is an engine and turbos). You could try modifying the nose panel into some sort of big air scoop so the wind was pushed straight into the filter, or maybe a different headgasket to compress the cylinders more (dunno if you can get these for a zed). A completely custom ECU like an Apexi PowerFC wouldn't go amiss either as it would let you ramp the ignition timing right up (I'm guessing you've probably already thought of that).

question
Ive bought a couple of spare targas that I plan to paint the same colour as my car. Then I'll have the choice of glass roof or fake hardtop, not sure how well the glass will take to painting though.

Good call Celt1, I knew it was being sold by some sort of garage but I had no idea which.

I also think I know the one you mean- Yellow, with oval corvette lights at the back, the rear hatch had some join lines filled in so it had a very smooth look at the back. I think it had a shiny brown wood steering wheel and gearknob as well as shiny black alloys that had red lines going round the rims. I reckon it was a SWB manual TT, but my memory isn't THAT good. Whoever has it will have no choice but to break it or spend ££££ having it converted as it ranked among the most distinctive zeds I'd ever seen- the front was pretty normal but if you see the back your instant reaction will be WTF? (i.e. there are no other zeds with a rear like it)

Er.. the reason AIDS has spread in Africa is because of the bad availability of needles and bad medical practice. In africa its common that needles are not sterilised, and because of a shortage of syringes and no staff training, one syringe can be used to 'treat' 1000's of people. So if 10000 people go to hospital for a blood test/immunisation, then 10000 people walk out with AIDS, if those 10000 people then have sex (or go to hospital again) then the problem grows. The likelihood of catching AIDS through straight sex is around 1 in 100 ( some say 1 in 50), so there's no way just a lack of condoms could account for the worst epidemic on the planet, also it doesn't help that the catholic church has been telling african catholics that they could go to hell for all eternity if they use a condom. (Btw. this isn't a flame, I'm just pointing out a common misconception that people have :), also I totally agree with your point on 'Dont give to charity' )

look after existing costomer's fooking bu11shit
My old company used to be contracted by orange and I can tell you that orange are the biggest bunch of stupid tw8ts we'd ever met, of all the companies we repaired phones for they were the most horrible and incompetant. On top of that I used to have a contract on orange, which I stopped around the time I moved house, orange did not process my change of address and sent all bills to my old address, the first thing I knew about it was when a debt collectors letter arrived, THEY EVEN CHARGED ME FOR LATE PAYMENT. Orange are complete barstewards if you work for them and if your'e a customer of theirs, someones got to be benefitting somewhere right?

A6 drama
Your'e lucky, ever tried to bypass the A3 hindhead traffic lights by going through haselmere? 60mph road, that has someone doing 30 along it EVERY BLOODY DAY, in 10 months of working round here its only been clear twice. The worst part is it has so many bends and blind corners that there are no overtaking spots. I basically have a choice of being stuck behind some old granny for half and hour, or stuck in a big pile of traffic.

I'm considering a 300ZX (from an ex-Prelude owner).
Had a Prelude for 3 years and I'm still driving it while I fix up my 300. Have to agree with that Ivan guy, 300 is nowhere near as glued to the road as the Honda, nor as light. But the RWD smoothness and power of the 300 as well as the way the steering 'weights up' makes up for it and the fact that the two cars are so completely different never leaves you feeling that youve compromised. I'd say both cars have similar reliablility, the difference being- if you miss your service intervals and replacement parts on the 300 then youre in for trouble, however my honda wasn't properly serviced for 10 years, has done 130K and never broken down once. I do 300miles a week in the Honda and it costs me £50 a week so our economy isnt that much different, but Ive noticed if you drive the 300 VERY carefully and your Honda pretty vigorously then your'e fuel bills will only be a little more. Although give the 300 any kind of throttle and your wallet will certainly notice the difference, I found an increase of about 20% to my fuel bill during normal driving.
