  1. I had some sill rust that was like that but worse. Cost me £600, but the guy rebuilt both sides, I had to fill on top and re-do the body work.
  2. I urgently need bellhousing bolts to get my gearbox into my car as I need it to get to work, so I ordered a complete set from Nissan thinking they're just a set of bolts how could that go wrong? Well turns out when I go to pick them the dozy **** had ordered a load of 50mm bolts and not a complete set of bellhousing ones. To be fair the technician who was there seemed pretty competant and took em back no quibbles, and ordered the right ones. If I'm lucky I'll be back on the road by monday.
  3. I just hate Dodge because of what they've done to the new Charger: http://www.edmunds.com/media/seo/500/2006.dodge.charger.jpg I mean wtf were they thinking?????
  4. Actually it was made by Mitsubishi, the stealth is a captive import 3000gt/GTO, it was sold via. the Chrysler group who just stuck a different badge on (and made sure it had crap engines).
  5. Actually Bantum you are right in a way, there was a front wheel drive version of the GTO/3000GT released in the states as the base model and the SL, (also it didn't have turbos).
  6. Read the horror stories at the TVR forums, some types of TVR engines were needing rebuilds at about 30K, also remember that if you have an unreliable 'supercar' its all the more worse when it leaves you on the hard shoulder and people just point and laugh. Having said that though my mates dad bought a griffith because he wanted a car that was 'old school' in terms of reliability so he'd have a car that he could regularly work on. Only problem is that its not had a single failure in 2 years, probably making it the most reliable TVR in the country.
  7. Could have been me but Im only round j10-11
  8. If they have an idea where you might live I'd rip out a few relays when you leave the car in the evening. Will be a lot harder to steal if theres a few bits missing.
  9. My torque converter blew today while I was on lunch (its been making a funny noise). Funnily when I was spielin' to the old lady at the weekend I said 'Torque converter could go in 6 hours or it could go in 6 months'. Well it actually lasted about 5 hours and 40 min. :(
  10. Seriously though, I'd ask aboot £400+ if i was selling it.
  11. I think its only worth about £50. Because im such a nice guy I'll take it off your hands for £60- can't say fairer than that.
  12. Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere- you'd need a boost leak detector to find that. May aswell give the throttles a good clean, also clean connectors on idle valve ECU temp sensor and PTU. Those knock-off dremels from halfords have one tool thats perfect for sorting out connectors- its like a little abrasive metal cone.
  13. I think bigger rear tyres and boost jets would be a start. Also remove the stock spoiler if you got it and change the front bumper.
  14. Try cleaning the negative terminal on your battery and tighten it right up. Also rad fan could be your ecu temp sensor.
  15. Get a 4ltr Lexus Soarer V8 and a supercharger. The 1uzfe engine they have is so well made that it has a nominal lifespan of 400-500 thousand miles before overhaul.
  16. Hi Pete, are you serious about selling the box?
  17. I suggest an 'eye for an eye' approach, if your car gets covered in needles, simply cover his tree in soapy water, then wash it, then wax it, then use a rotary buffer on it.

Did your ad say that it needed collection? If it did and he accepted this by biding on it, then decides he doesnt want to collect I think that breaches the rules. Tbh its been a while since I dealt with arsebay so I can't really remember the ins and outs that well.
  19.    I'm gonna print some of them out
  20. Er...... maybe a little, tbh I just can't help myself, I think about you all the time ;) ;) ;)
  21. Could have been Saturday or Friday morning, I forget now, memory isn't what it once was.
  22. Tried to flash back, but fumbled the light controls :o
