  1. Yeah brake cleaner is ok to use, try not to touch the element with anything else though.
  2. dear oh dear, not good news at all! do you generally get on well with him? If not then send 'the boys' round to get your money back.
  3. You need to remove the nose panel, held on with two 10mm bolts between the headlights. Its under there and fits between the Y pipe and air box/filter.
  4. You just cant help some people. :(
  5. B*stards... I was waiting until lunch to order it and now its gone up in price! oh well I'll wait for Forza 3 :p
  6. Maybe they thought it was some sort of 'water injection'
  7. Thats an absolute bargain, I've not got a PS3 but might order a few copies
  8. I think it looks good :D I'm not 100% sure I like the '95 one. I don't quite understand the fascination with them lol. I personally like the original flat one, found on the earlier models. But thats just me :)
  9. I'm on my 3rd one and its never happened to me... dont let it bother you just check yours when you get one.
  10. Depends on the rest of the car really... I paid £800 for mine (UK manual TT) which was a good price, it needs one turbo on it but I have the spares and am doing the repairs myself so should end up a cheap car for me. If you have that sort of money at your disposal then hold out and find a perfect runner for 2k.
  11. Where would you get new ones made? As I've seen Work Equip wheels the same as mine but with wider dish.
  12. Thanks for the input, I'm gonna try and get to the blades later, although this side there is a long metal pipe connected to the turbo so may try the exhaust side. Would be good if this was the problem all along, well besides getting it just about ready to lift the engine out :D Not gonna hope too high though, but we'll see!
  13. I have never been paintballing, however have been airsofting a few times, less painful apparently lol.
  14. Thanks for the responses guys.. bit of a mixture of views! Do you think I should carry on taking the engine out? Is there any way you can physically get to see if the turbo is seized without taking it completely off?
  15. Some of you may know I bought the red UK TT in my sig with a seized turbo. After carrying out the latex glove test on the pipe it turned out to be the drivers side turbo which was not working, not the passenger side like the previous owner had been told. Yesterday afternoon I started stripping down my engine ready to replace the drivers side turbo, but upon removal of the large hose from the turbo to intercooler, I found this big split going half way round the hose (turbo end of the hose): The car ran fine before (no spluttering etc) just that the boost needle didnt go past 0 and there was no boost. Could this split be enough to stop any boost? I guess it could be but just need confirmation. I have a spare hose, should I fit this and build it back up or continue with plan 'A' ? Any advice would be appreciated!
  16. :slap: stick on plates on very uncool. unless you have an etype or something. If you have to have full size letters then trim the plate down and lose some of that white from the edges. It pisses Si off. :x:
  17. Very nice indeed.... lots of working space too - v. jealous!!!
  18. there were some official imports, but I'm not so sure they would class as UK models! Don't know why they didnt offer them to the UK back then, would they not have sold?
  19. Just remember you wont be able to get in that car park as easily though ;) Looks great in the photoshop picture, sits far better. Don't forget to get the geometry set up as soon as possible because it can wear tyres big time in just a few days!!! :)
  20. Are you still selling your Z then Lusitano? good to see you have the fastest colour... :)
  21. Yeah I noticed that... only the numbers different!
  22. After struggling to read the advert lol, seems ok but a bit tatty in places... sump swap is straight forward enough, I even have a spare :p
  23. Does anybody know if suspension struts/springs on a 300zx are shared with any other nissan models? i.e. would a kit from an R33 GTR fit? Its not a daft question as it may sound, but its one I'm not sure of. thanks :)
  24. At least a 4x4 would wear green a bit better
