Does anyone have any pictures of 300zx's sporting a coat of matt paint in any colour? I know its not to everyones taste but just want to see what they look like... :nelson:

Theres a few clues from the pics that you'll pick up with experience which suggests that is an import model - square front plate, side markers in rear bumper, indicators in side of front bumper (just blanks on a UK model), fog lights in front bumper, Z panel between headlights, and colour of (standard) window tint. But now we're getting geeky lol.

Yeah there are a few around on an F plate. Only imports though, its the very early '89 ones. Not any issue as far as I know, just looks a lot older lol :p and yes it will be an import if its had the speedo change and jap speed limiter removed.

I used to work for Dodge but unfortunately our dealer shut down last year otherwise I'm sure we'd be getting some in! However if the other sports models are anything to go buy it should be ok, what engine does the RT have?

not necessarily... my Z has a folder with £13k of receipts yet only cost £800. Dont forget, repairs would have been expensive but when it was a £35k car then its rich people that own and maintain them lol. Hope its a good one, certainly looks nice from the pics. Dont see many F regs. :)

I was most shocked to find myself following a blue 300zx through Lincoln tonight M***OFX... hope its someone on here but it never seems to be. :cry:

Whilst we are on the subject, my uk Z had bubbly arch one side, if I was to cut the section out of my JDM breaker, is it a huge job so get it fitted onto mine?

I've also had loads, but started with a collection of mk1 fiestas peaking at an XR2 then discovered the XR3i lol that made me buy an RS Turbo which was the worst car in the world lol, but I was hooked on turbos so it made me buy a Rover GSI Turbo which was awesome and so modern in comparison, but I was now over 200bhp which only meant one thing, to turn to Jap so I got my Pulsar GTi-R which was fun but a bit small so I turned to a UK 300zx Twin Turbo manual, always been my dream car so I was well happy. But then decided to go out and buy a Mine's R32 GTR but that and the 300zx were too much so sold the Z lol. Especially as I was only 22 and had 700bhp sat on the drive. A year later I wanted to clear some finances so sold the GTR, but couldnt go into a slow shitty car, so to help me on my come down I bought my second 300zx Twin Turbo manual. A short while later I was trying to find a house and then got told I was losing my job so I had no choice but to sell the Z :cry: I then tried the 'dub' scene and bought a VW Corrado, but that wasn't for me... put it up for swaps on ebay, and someone swapped it for a Skyline GTST Auto - it was great and worth lots more than the corrado but a GTST is still no Z lol. Tried the yank scene and bought a Dodge D100 V8 but that was too noisy and big lol. So after settling into a new job I bought a project 300zx twin turbo manual which I decided to use for spares and bought another 300zx Twin Turbo manual which is the red one I have now lol. Along with an Alfa 156 which is my daily drive but I love it.

No you arent mad... you just cant stay away lol. Buy a tidy one and give it some subtle mods, like you say if you track it you run the risk of destroying it.

sell us one! :tongue: I did notice this one still had all its badges and thought they must hide it away at night lol.

Bullnose Trans Am for me (71-73) Was gonna get one before but they are pretty scarce so went for a dodge pick up instead. I'll have a bullnose soon though. a close second would be the '56 Ford F100, just something about them when they are lowered etc.

you could try hellfrauds for some power steering additive, but probably gonna be new pump time.

Looking forward to getting them all fitted! Didnt think of getting the BOV pipes polished and new hoses, would look better though! and dave, are you supposed to lift the car then shake until the engine drops out? lol. :x:

After buying my manual UK TT with one seized turbo, it is now been fixed and I can concentrate on getting it ready for some fun :) So as I bought it (totally standard) Engine being removed After a clean up, So far fitted 17" Work Equip split rims, Fujitsubo Giken full exhaust system and Greddy boost gauge. Now got this lot to fit: consisting of: Z1 Lightweight Flywheel Exedy paddle clutch Blitz BOVs ARC Intercoolers Mine's ECU Stainless hard pipes Japspeed divorced wstegates Braided clutch hose HIDs Apexi RSM Apexi SAFC Apexi Power Intake 90mm AFM (maybe after some tinkering) and this weekend getting a Greddy Profec B spec 2 boost controller. should speed it up a little yeah? :)

As long as you expect twats to ring you when you are at traffic lights you'll be ok. Do us a favour though and put the price, I hate it when people dont put any price!!! lol rant over.
