The great insurance thread 2009!
Gonna try giving them a call tomorrow. Got a blinding quote from esure earlier, I'm 26 and got quoted £283 online for a uk TT, but rang them tonite and because my 9 years NCB is being used on the alfa it shot up to £519! I still think that is a bit of a con, it was even with the same company! :(

Private Plate question
That is pretty sh!te :( I knew that transferring to another car that it had to be fully legal etc but wasn't sure if the same rules apply when putting it onto retention? Seems a bit of a con really, so I have to get my car MOt'd, taxed and insured just so I can get the plate off it? thats crap :( will cost a bit of money to get it to that stage! MOT and tax aren't a massive issue its just getting it insured thats gonna cost a fair amount as its an import. Bet you were gutted kirbz... so if I break up my car then I'll lose H 2ED X, I don't know what to do :( :(

over drive
With overdrive turned off, you should notice the revs are higher. I used to turn it off in my skywhine when I wanted a more spirited drive, then turn it on when I was just cruising or saving fuel :)

Anyone a fan of Urbex?
Its not all about scary stuff. Most of my trips have been at night time and some proper weird shit has gone on and we have seen all sorts of stuff that is unexplainable, especially round old local RAF hospitals... but I'll save all that as you'd never believe me :p The photos obtained through urbex are brilliant, its not all about pics though, I've been many places 'just for an explore'. Heres a few pics I've just found on an old forum I took in '07: Old Lunatic asylum in Lincoln: American Adventure Theme Park, now closed and gone forever...

the car you should have kept
Last year was full of regrets selling up the cars I love. But at the time it was the only way out of financial situations (including losing my job after 10 years and getting a first house!) First of all was my 300zx, which I sold to Z32 (now in the scrapyard) My R32 GTR, which now lives in Sweden (with a broken engine after cheap swedish fuel was put in) and my '72 Dodge V8 - too big, too noisy, too much of an arse to own :nelson:

Anyone a fan of Urbex?
If you have to ask what it is then you clearly aren't  Just noticed Si talked about 28 Days Later in another thread, and wondered who else is into the hobby? I love it and have many places and pictures over the years!
