  1. just to confirm yes it is an MOT failure, it has 5 nuts on each wheel for a reason so they see it as unsafe with just 4. (even though its probably been like it for ages)
  2. Ouch yeah that can't be good! I made sure that everything was clear before the jump, lol Its such a surreal feeling, I wasn't nervous at all, even when sat on the edge of the plane. When you are heading down towards the ground at 140mph its like an out of body experience, really weird and hard to describe!
  3. I've wanted to go Skydiving for ages and a mate offered the chance to go, been waiting for a couple of months but finally went today! Plane took us 2.5 miles up, door slid open, sat on the edge of the plane with legs dangling then WAHEY! 30 seconds of freefall followed by about 8 minutes with the parachute open as we sailed to the ground. Absolutely EPIC day out, will be going again. If you get the chance to do it - THEN DO IT!
  4. I bought an Alfa 156 earlier this year, as my first 'sensible' car after a long string of 280bhp+ cars. I love it, its got loads of character, ticked all the boxes for what I wanted, and I've done over 5k in it now ans it hasn't skipped a beat  That 155 looks smart, look a bit old fashioned on the outside now but its got nice interior and a decent engine! Enjoy! :)
  5. The only mildly funny combo in our family is PJBJ
  6. Haha bet they had fun in the office making that commercial!
  7. I am slightly biased about them too... after working for chrysler jeep dodge for nearly 10 years... ;)
  8. Ha ,red oxide would suit it! My mate owns it now, its going in for paint next month - think its going matt black or nato green! I kept telling myself it wasn't as big as it looked but it took up a hell of alot of space, and was a twat to own. But I guess I got the hard work done on it and got it back on the road, so was worth it. In hindsight, when I got my V8 fetish I should have opted for a car variant instead - like a 6.6 Trans Am, then maybe I would still have it. But saying that, I probably wouldn't have a Z now.... :p
  9. I did spy this.. don't know the car though. Didn't even realise it was from Lincs LOL :D If I had the money sat waiting I'd snap it up and give up with my project!
  10. I work at Ford and can honestly say that the STs hardly have any common issues, only problems with that shape mondeo tend to be with the diesel engines.
  11. brings back memories of last year, I treated myself to a '72 Dodge D100 pick up, it was a 5.2 V8 ex-drag racing truck. Its had years of neglect but I got the thing turned round and running again for a bit of V8 lovelyness (to the disgust of the neighbours) anyway, I totally forgot about the video that my mate took, here is a link to it on youtube, it brings back memories and I love the noise of the V8, especially at 0.31 seconds... :hyper:
  12. One less 306 on the road...
  13. Was it a garage that did the repairs for you? Given what you've said I'd of hoped they had visually inspected the rest of the system whilst in there because there was probably signs of excessive wear then, i.e cracks in the metal. Chin up this should be the last thing touch wood - so you can enjoy your Z this summer :)
  14. Sounds ace! HID's FTW! :D
  15. WELL... if its an apexi 'power intake' :- then they are a dry filter, and not to be oiled like a K&N. The oil will go through it and into your MAF, and give your car running problems. Hope that helps, however I'm not sure of the best way to clean the filter, probably with a compressor and a small air sprayer.
  16. Ha, thats about 30 miles from me, I should really go and talk to him about it just for a laugh. As Chris says though, that interior looks amazing!
  17. WOW :D I love V8s... had a '72 Dodge last year and boy did it piss the neighbours off, the noise of them is awesome and I'd love that in a 300zx! Can't wait to see it finished!!
  18. Photoshop is an amazing programme... fairly straight forward too. Can do so much with it, highly recommended.
  19. Looks great! Now keep them shiny and they'll stay like that a long time! :D
  20. all the work is really paying off... sounds awesome... V8 FTW!
  21. theres some cylindrical polyurethane mounts available off US eBay, go to ebay.com and type 300zx engine mount, should come up. Not sure if they will be of any use to you?
  22. I could imagine getting parts for it would be hard work. "I've got a 300zx, 52 plate." "A what?"
  23. maybe his car gains horses over the years instead of losing them!
  24. Don't forget that the instructions you are following are from the US - so drivers side would be the left. If you have the large boost pipes off then you should see a small metal hose under the throttle body on the L/H side of the vehicle. Then where the large pipe goes to the front of the vehicle you should find the 'tree' which is a series of metal pipes close together, you definately not got these?
