  1. Welcome to our side of the net... looks like you've worked your way up very well, right to the top ;) you'll love the Z32!
  2. I did this to my wiper arms and mouldings the other day - its amazing how it can spruce up the old girls!
  3. Good progress! Looking forward to seeing it all done... with be worth all the blood sweat and tears in the end... :)
  4. I got the car for £420, then offered him £180 for the complete engine including turbos, so £600 in total. My plan was to break it for spares and save up for one for the summer, but decided to make it my new project :)
  5. Its ok.. Things aren't quite as bad as they first appear, it come with a boot load of spares from a 2nd car, including a complete loom! So hopefully wont need to touch that one. Still a bit of work to do though, i'll create a journal thread! :)
  6. My name is Baz and I'm from Lincoln... Recently bought my 3rd 300zx TT, this one is a bit of a project that cost me very little but I'm determined to get sorted, turned around and back on the road, and hopefully one that will stand out. My first Z was a UK manual TT, then I had a black import TT manual Z after that, now belongs to Z32: now I have another import manual TT, but its a bit of a meccano kit at the mo. Does anyone know the car? got an interesting plate on: She's a bit rough round the edges but will be going for paint soon... pulled the old knackered engine out on saturday afternoon so just gathering parts to drop the new lump in ;)
  7. Cool, cheers :D I look forward to receiving it and whacking it on!
  8. Oops, I just bought it now  Got an incurable Mine's fetish ever since I got a Mine's tuned R32 GTR :o

  11. I caught the f**kin paperboy nicking my valve caps once! he must have felt guilty as he quit the next day! (unless he wanted to wreak havoc on the last day...twat)
  12. LOL! No one has ever seen or heard of these wheels before! Not had chance to get on my home computer but don't worry, the hi-res images will be up soon :D
  13. It'll be fixed up and back on the road for the weekend, need to think of more ideas for pictures lol

I can remember seeing a matt black Z and thought it looked awesome. BUT its an acquired taste and best left to older, ropier cars lol :D Edit: Just come across these pictures of a 'Rat 200sx'... IMO it looks ace (not the exhaust though!)
  20. Thanks for all your kind comments, my camera set me back a small fortune so I like to make the most of it  Photos were just taken down the local airfield, nothing special! Regarding the wheels. They suit the car down to the ground, look perfect on it. Cracking offset on them too, no spacers! ;) I need to take one off and have a look at the markings on the back see if they hint at anything, the centre caps read 'ASSO' (sure I got that right lol) although a quick google search and nothing comes up under that name  But they look well made, with the all important polished lip! Yeah hellraiser and Si were right, its a Jap plate. Not only that but its a 'real' jap plate lol... [geek mode]When a car in Japan is exported they have to be de-registered and the plates physically handed over. So TECHNICALLY there should be none available to us foreigners. Although some do slip through the net... ;) [/geek mode] So the plate isn't legal in the UK, but looks great for shows and pictures! Had them for about 5 years now, so no you can't buy them off me! :nono: You can get illuminated Jap plates which look absolutely amazing, but you are then talking mega-money! Plus another nice touch on the car is the dealer badge on the back which is PAINTED on in black & gold... 'Tokyo Nissan' :D I like the illuminated side markers, think they look pretty classy. The Z has coilovers on and pzero rosso's all round, after a spirited drive yesterday I can certainly say it handles brilliantly, not what I expected at all!
  21. I feel like a newbie again, so I'll act like one! I had a UK Twin Turbo a couple of years back and loved it, then power got to me and I sold it for a Mine's Tuned R32 GTR... well thats now sold and gone over to Sweden, so I thought I best find a nice manual 300zx TT to replace it with... :) After weeks of trawling through Pistonheads, eBay, this forum... I found one pop up - black import, manual, basic mods - and thought I best act quick. Picked it up on saturday and I'm well impressed with it. Goes better than the last one I had (down to the colour I hear :wack: ) and although it won't touch the GTR in the performance stakes, I think the Zs are far comfier and better to drive (IMO) *runs and hides* I had my camera with me, and stormy clouds approaching, thought I'd to some pictures and let them do the talking ;)
  22. I've just sold my R32 GTR and got a 300zx TT, mainly as a cost cutting exercise though lol. I'd recommend the R32 over the R33 after driving both, mine was just RWD and was plenty of fun, the early GTR's often being referred to as the true driver's car ;)
  23. Although I feel like a newbie again! Can't stay away from the Z! Renewed through Paypal :)
  24. I may live in Lincoln but I do NOT know this bloke! lol. I put the spotted post up before, apparently my mate was talking to a couple of bouncers outside a club in Lincoln where it was parked, and one of them was like 'Yeah mate its one of those Ferrari 300s innit wahhh' ****in tossbag   "FIRST TO SEE WILL BUY" - more like first to see will piss themselves with laughter
  25. Well I usually keep my thoughts to myself but that thing is shocking. Apparently some chavvy kid went up to him and said "do you know that ain't a real Ferrari" (lol) and the answer he gave was something along the lines of "its the closest you can get to it" :D FunkySi - Yeah thats my Z, wheels are Impul Racing R5's, I was lucky enough to get them from Zedworld, of all places! As with all Jap wheels, stupidly priced to buy new, but look gorgeous! geeky_hawkes - I live just outside Lincoln, village called Cherry Willingham. There's a lad with a black wings west kitted Z in Lincoln, a red standard UK one that for sale for 6k (!), and a couple of imports, they are getting too common :( I know what you mean about people not believing the whole nissan thing, I get it all the time!
