  1. Police dogs die in heatwave car... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/police-dogs-die-in-heatwave-car-1728208.html
  2. that looks fooking awesome. REALLY like that.
  3. thanks for the link maz, thats what I've been working off. Its a great website and unbelievably helpful. But what it says about the large hose: "Remove or cut all the rubber hoses off, bend the bracket open and pry out the CC. Finish removing the CC mounting bracket by removing the three,10mm bolts that hold it onto the frame rail. Remove all the remaining hoses that were connected to the CC. The large bottom hose from the canister splits into two. Note where the bottom small hose disappears into the frame rail. This will be the connection for the fuel tank vent line from above, if your car has this bottom connection. If not, do not worry. The large, bottom tube from the CC continues up high and connects behind the CC into the frame rail, onto the this metal tube shown here." and thats it! although the lasst image looks like he may have taken off the pipe that goes into the chassis rail, I dont know if its important or not?
  4. could well be... I got loads of spares from a second zed in the boot!
  5. I used Auto Advan, they have pages and pages of cars for sale at very reasoable prices. Terence there had someone checking the local auctions for the car I wanted, highly recommended.
  6. Well I've had another few hours working on the Z getting her ready for the road tonight, but got a couple of questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me. First of all, I've removed the carbon canister (amongst other useless items), and the large pipe is left with nowhere to go (see red arrow). But it does T off and the other end goes behind the chassis rail (see green arrow). I have hunted around the net but cannot find any reference to this pipe at all. Do I need to cap the open end? Secondly... my car is missing an alternator which I am in the process of sorting out, I'm guessing the left hand bracket in this picture is the alternator bracket? Is there anything else I need in way of mounts etc to fit it? second item is an idler pulley, is this for the a/c belt? if so I dont need it as I've done away with the air con. And can someone tell me if the rest of the brackets pictured are of any use or what they are for? thanks a lot in advance, help is mucho appreciated!!

Not seen it myself, but apparently in the news it said about someone buying one for £7k. What kind of a FREAK would pay that money?
  8. I cant wait to get mine on the road and attack some country roads in the evenings, its just not the same with a shopping wagon!

  10. Basically 'cheating' the system, geek mode on guys... (copy and pasted from a local forum) Well we have all seen the adverts on tv telling us to buy a mars bar, read the code inside and text it to blah blah blah to see if we have win a football. Well you can play on the website for free. All you do is enter your email address, they send you a code and you try that to see if you have won. Chances are you wont. But it turns out the codes mean shit. They way the system decides if you are a winner is by time. Basically you can keep entering the same code over and over and chances are you will win. Now the only problem with this is that it means sat at your pc cutting and pasting for ages. Luckily there is a automated way around this! And i'm gonna show you how! First off you need to be running the latest version of Firefox Web Browser. Internet explorer wont do it. Once you have Firefox up and running browse to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3863" and click "add to firefox". This installs a macro plugin so we can make the process automated. Once you have it installed your firefox will restart and look something like this.... Now we have to create the macro! Browse to http://www.marsballsgetbritainplaying.com/ You will have to enter your Date Of Birth to prove you are over 16! Now click on "Check code" at the top. Right Follow this exactly..... 1) In the Imacro section on the left click the record tab 2)Click RECORD (now everything you do is being recorded) 3) Enter the code "MNLKKPKTFT" into the code area 4) Click Check Code, The page will now change to say if you have won or not. 5) Once the page has changed click STOP 6) Now click save and name your macro! 7) Click the EDIT tab in Imacro 8) Above the tabs should be a list of macros including the one you just created, make sure yours is selected 9) Click OPTIONS below the edit tab, you should see something like this.... 10) I have circled in yellow where it says REPLAY SPEED, Change this to SLOW and click apply Now we are ready to run our macro!!!!! 11) In Imacro Click the PLAY tab, make sure the macro you created above is selected, Where it says repeat macro at the bottom set the max to 150. Now click PLAY LOOP All things being well your firefox browser should be pottering away on its own. It should enter the code, check the code and then start again. Now eventually you will be presented with a winning screen. Dont Panic that you will miss it. Once your code has won it will keep going back to the winning screen. When you see this.... Click stop in imacro and enter your details! Now your code will stop working. So on the mars site click on "no purchase necessary" and enter your email address. They will send you another code. To enter this code into imacro is simple. 1) Click the EDIT tab in imacro, make sure the macro you created above is selcted 2) Click EDIT MACRO, you will be presented with a screen like this.... 3) The part i have highlighted is your mars code, delete this and enter your new code. 4) Click SAVE & CLOSE, job done. Now simply play the macro again until you win. A few notes....... When running the above have it running in once instance of firefox and with no tabs open. I normally find it has won after 70ish loops, but it varies. If you want to continue web browsing, etc simply open a new instance of firefox and use that, or use ie, whatever. I own a domain and can use whatever i want@mydomain, so emails are unlimited, this way i can get as many codes as i want. If you use googlemail or gmail simply add +1 to your email address and it will still get to you, eg your email is "bob@gmail.com" for a new address use "bob+1@gmail.com". The email will still get to you but appreas new to the mars site. You can use whatever combination of letters, etc you want to potentially unlimited addresses. This apparently works with hotmail too but ive not tried it. Oh and ive won 4 footballs, 3 rugby balls and 8 cricket balls!
  11. Some of you may have seen in the news about 'undated 20p pieces', I've gone through my jar full but haven't got any. Have a look on ebay - they are going for £150-£200 each! So get hunting through your 20ps!
  12. I'm not a fan of the 306, but have always had a secret liking for the cabriolet version. Got offered a swap for a mint black one when I had my skyline runaround earlier in the year, but couldn't come down to that lol.
