  1. Yeah one of those is wrong. In pic three the bottom one is a Z32 one for stock turbos the one above, Christ knows what that's from.
  2. They aren't symmetrical btw, obviously they are handed but the turbos themselves are offset. The passenger side Turbo sits further towards the wing and the drivers side further towards the engine, this is to do with the way the turbos are adapted to fit the car known as clocking. What I'm saying is when they arrive don't be surprised to see they look unmatched. They definitely must be both four bolt though, stock turbos are four bolt exhaust housings. Larger aftermarket ones are often 5. I don't think anyone has a six bolt one on a Z as those are on even larger turbos.
  3. Should both be four bolt buddy.
  4. What sort of price do S/H units go for?
  5. That's good to know. How effective is the system?
  6. Might be worth checking, some insurance companies will invalidate your insurance because of that Turbo timer.
  7. Well the heads are aluminium so leave them alone. The block you can't see anyway so pink would do the job...in seriousness go for a lighter colour, not black. That way any if oil leaks appear you can see and trace them so much easier.
  8. Ah right, I did read that name off the Dyno sheet but didn't realise they actually mapped cars as well. Do you know if they have ever mapped a Z32 out of interest?
  9. Good buy Dean, really smart cars with brilliant engines. If zed values continue to rise and I can get sorta 5-6k for mine then there's the real possibility I may purchase the earlier shape one. I couldn't spring to that shape for a toy and the Mrs wouldn't be too happy it being the family car, the visits to the petrol station would activate the moan sensors.
  10. What's that...106mph average? Which is Mean average, not accounting for a traffic light or speed camera or lets face it in a van full of parcels a corner  the Median average would have to be considerably higher, 125/130mph, in that same van full of parcels... some creative time keeping skills there I recon.
  11. Alright vorderman
  12. We wise though if you've got the time? Get rid of the crap and do the cam covers now rather than later...
  13. Down there you have the 2 thick hard pipes about 20mm in diameter, these are the heater core flow and return. Then there are spurs from here about 10mm that create a loop that feed the turbos and underside of the plenum with engine coolant. Replacing that hard pipe is possible with one side easier than the other but it's cut knuckle paradise. I remember having the same issue many years ago, I used long pliers and extensions to get at it and replace the offending piece. If I were to do it now I'd remove the upper portion of the plenum and do some preventive work, replace all that hose and delete the plenum water feed. Up to you how you feel.
  14. It's not like it's a piss awkward transverse set up, plenty of room with the fan out and rad if you really want that extra space. Do your homework and follow the service manual for torque settings, teeth count and belt tensioning set up etc. I did mine last time with the engine out and the actual belt change took about 10 minutes with a cup of tea. If your a professional spanner man you will be fine.
  15. Your a mechanic? Man the **** up then  in seriousness you've got two choices. Do it yourself or accept the fact that a specialist will require traveling. The only other option is to give it to someone else with the same or less experience and let them cock it up because they do t care as much as you do about your car.
  16. Incredible isn't it. I've had stuff come from China in a few days too. So can someone tell me why it takes days, if that to get stuff from the other side of the world, why the hell it takes about a sodding fortnight to send a card to my parents in France across a bit of water. I could honestly ride a bike there faster, even going the long way round (via Dover). Bloody snail mail.
  17. Correct early ones had a 5L v12 with 300hp and later ones a 5.6L with 380hp. Beautiful cars, weigh nearly 1.8 tonnes though. There was also a 840 with a 4L v8.
  18. Probably one of the easiest quad cam cars to do a cam belt on tbh but then garages still manage to *****cks it up.
  19. The question is, what's the point...
  20. I know some of the guys use Eurospec in the south east. For a specialist though it's Bristol.
  21. Bit tight that one isn't it, iirc the manifold restricts room around it and the rear housing is in the rear way from below... don't think a nut splitter will get in there. I'd be inclined to heat it cherry red and then hit it with a sharp cold chisel. Frustrating.
  22. Which bolt is it lee?
  23. Either that or that Hydragea is in desperate need of a dead heading. ;)
  24. Pretty sure they are 355CI so under 6 litres. My guess is a C63.
