  1. Its probally the metal hard pipe behind the rubber ones on the top hose they rust out over time.
  2. its prob a 2.0 they do look tiny lol, but they are very deep. long stroke i spose really plus the cylinder is longer than the stroke, and teh sump pans hold about 8 litres of oil!
  3. il have a look in my shed, its all stuff left over from my build most of its still in packaging majourity its brakes related.
  4. nice little pinto there mate, ive got afew bits like brand new discs that will probally fit that car if your interested.
  5. there is a very stock example for sale atm if i remeber rightly but he doesnt want it to be modified. the temptation to modify these motors is er well hard to resist.
  6. i did this, spoke to jeff who explained teh lower arm is a deliberate weak point to stop the subframe from shitting the bed. one you get the wheel off and start stripping it all apart you will probally find far less damage than you expected. i suppose the same s probally true of the front its just time and money, easy to fix though. hopefully. ******* didnt even stop grrrrr
  7. you dont need a link mate hes on here a fair bit, buisness is called powerzed, and heres the link anyways. http://www.powerzed.com/
  8. if you wantto rebuild etc then jimmer who is based in bristol so prety conveient for you is the top man to speak to. there is also japfest coming up on in two weekends time and there will be plently of zeds there so you can have a look round and talk to some owners, welcome to the club.
  9. Bushes are shagged in the front by the sounds of it. Front tension arms are popular for crap handling and excessive camber
  10. Didnt you end up with a set of these on the red zed you swapped with vs jim? you probally could adapt the bubs but itwould be expensive. Hib adaptors as said but its not really worth it by the time you forked out yousent what you saved!
  11. The actual lock and actuator are located where the seat belt is in the door card.
  12. If you shine a torch in the gap witj the window down you will probally be able to see what im on about
  13. Thats exactly what mine was doing, before I replaced the actuator, im not sure how easy it is to jimmy a zed but essentially using a coat.hanger to locate the rod that connects the lock to the actuator. Its just to the right of the key lock. Best of luck. I know one or two people on here have an do know how to do this so hopefully they will pm you. I suspect that the connecting rod has come off anat one end.
  14. Looks like an elephant sat on it and bent the wishbones.
  15. This happened to me when I recently changed the actuator assebly itwas the inner pin fell off connecting the the lick and acuator I flicked it manually and it unlocked. Dortunatly I still had the door card off. You should be able to jimmy the lock
  16. It used to be in the highway code to allow thrm to pull out but you cant do that half way through overtaking them! I thinks its been dropped now, theres certaintly no more signs on the back like there used yo be. The buses are crap anyways we have bus lanes empty in rush hour and no bus and we have3 buses in the same stop stopping every 10b metres, there really isnt a need for so many buses and so many stops grrrrr
  17. Is it me or are bus drivers getting worse, the amount of times they have tried to pull out when iim half way down it. I actually saw one do this the other day to a slow moving ie 5mph or less old lady unfortuntly he hit her and pushed her a good 10 feet along the road before stopping!
  18. On the phone keypads tiny bloody touch screen crap lol
  19. Im thinking about pod seshes really
  20. I looked into it and came across mixed veiws, it does increase the acceleration, lower top end and make the car feel more responsive. Hower real world dictates use of very grippy rubber to make full use of it offf the line, first and 2nd are a hail of sp ok n with anythinv but a near stock engine. Its quite popular in the states because of the amount of nad out there converted. I put up a thread over there and was pretty muvh talked out ou gh of I th as I want ws d the car to retain some sort of managability basicaly I didnt see it as worth the effort or cash, others may wel disagree and I may even talk myself back into the idea. Also swmbo said no lol.
  21. yes it does well zclub does and we are going to be sharing it, unfortunatly I think the stand has sold out
  22. Tickets have arrived, I dont have a track pass but I can still arrive at 7?
  23. i suppose so, as you can use the na box, you would have to alter the bellhousing take a chunk out and space the starter to mesh up with the fly wheel.
  24. rightttt lol cheers gaz, i didnt see this in time due to the issues with the forum last night, fortunatly the new one turned up at work today and i sat there with a cuppa and pushed teh levers till i figured out how the thing worked, took it home and put it together lol. for future referance though if anyoen else gets themself in a tiz, there coloured for a reason :) the green two relate to the interior handle, you will quickly see which goes where. the blue one goes to the exterior door handle and the remaining white one connects upto the key barrel. the brass coloured bar near it, if you undo the bolt the whole process is 100xs easier :)
  25. all depends on price etc the amount of times i thought if i was in the air this woukld be way easier!
