  1. That red one "godspeed" all that work left it auto!
  2. That sounds very simular, smokes ittermitently on boost too , one time you get a big puff another very little. Its worse when rolling to and from traffic speeds ie 10mph etc, still pulls like feck though. And yeah I have a cross over section in my exhaust, hence both sides, if you block one off at idle it puffs out far worse than if they were both puffing. As you can see though at idle theres not much, until the revs rise and I assume push the crap out.
  3. I cant see it happening it would make millions of vechiles illegal overnight. Bankrupt millions of buisnesses. Dent the economy significantly and be completly unpolicable. Technically how far do you go? Is a partern part modified or agtermarket? Its not exactly to manufactures spec. Even using different tyres its bs and will fall on its face.
  4. not to mention the engone and transmission warming things up and drying things out. no car likes to be left stood.
  5. thats what both me and hellraiser had almost set ourselves on. we had a play about with it the other day and came to that conclusion. i believe the quote was "i think we both know what the problem is" im gonna bust out a compression test over the weekend just to be sure of headgasket and piston ring failure. you seal went a while ago didnt they jaffa?
  6. a pipedream is mearly something you havent thought up a way of feasibly doing yet :)
  7. http://www.apexv8.com/store/ http://www.hybridz.org/
  8. pretty sure john dixon would be a good person to have that chat with he has a vh or vq cant remeber now engined zed. the ls1 is quite a popular swap and apex do v8 conversions with an ls1 on mostly 200sxs so that also may be a good place to start. there is even a zed forum called hybridz that discusses many different engine swaps.
  9. your just gonna have to go look over it bud.
  10. how long is that piece of string in your pocket? depends on where in the country what the streets like prevailing wind etc etc etc. basically you just cant say. i left my capri parked up on teh road for about 6 months when i came back to it the salt spray from other peoples cars had fubared the sill.
  11. yeah def smoke, it looks more white at idle. on boost its bluer and farrr less. and yeah it stinks of oil.
  12. 20" bbs lm s theyre gonna look a maze zing. However theres a chap in yanky land with big wheels looks crap. Ott.
  13. yeah that sounds very cheap ok its smoking but how bad, and why. if its a fubared engine wellll 600?
  14. er they look a bit blue tbh, are they stock lights might be an optical illusion. hpowever they must be white or yellow.
  15. :S sorry you lost me there you think its lumpy? it has got full decats and divorced downs, i thought it sounded pretty damn smooth, and that was well not hot but warmish. it will smoke like that a idle only. once moving ie under load the engine does very little. i think whatever is getting in there is dribbling out at idle but not passing through. then once the revs rise it starts to pump it out the exhaust. once pushing it out at a faster hotter rate it burns off what was introduced. that is my sorta take on it.
  16. we tried but the equipment wasnt working correctly. its on the list this week. i did however do one less than 10k ago. and although i dont remember the specific result i remember it was pretty good. il have it done by the weekend.
  17. what you need my boy is a fence. nice little three foot this is my land now piss off device. it might be a little tight getting out your car but hell it will save your paint. and if she struggles well she can always stop being a fat dent creator.
  18. alot go for v power jspec cars need higher octane fuel due to the fuel grade in japan being higher, conversely a uk spec can run on normal unleaded. i will run mine on crap old unleaded if i have no resort petrol stations are little thin on the ground round here and they can run out of super unleaded esp out in the sticks, in this case i top up ebough to get home and just cruise without boosting.
  19. good on you. theres a lack of quality work out there as you say. a friend of mine works for a classic Porsche resortation company and they do some amazing stuff above and beyond what the usual "restores" will do.
  20. you may even find as i have that half your local non specialist garages will turn the zed away esp if its a twin turbo model. they dont want to get involved. and the only one locally to me who would get involved was a waste of time and money. there is jimmer with his company powerzed down south but thats even further for you. ive used zedworld for a few things now and ant fault them, your gonna have to travel to get your car worked on so it may aswel be travelling to someone worth their salt.
  21. theres a black one of these round teh corner from us my father in law was pretty convinced it has a engine cover that looks like a ferrari engine and everything, the cheap wolf race wheels that didnt fit the arches and the tiny brakes, not to mention the huge aftermarket drift style whale tail spoiler was the give away oh that and the fact it was about 4 inches clear of the floor
  22. can a mid put in the thread title that this now has video?
