  1. horses for corses mate, they can look good I know a certain black welsh car that has them and looks great, but they certainly don't work well with the stock front fascia lol.
  2. I have some thoughts lol, those skirts are yuck, and could be hiding all sorts of diseases, so you'd have to check very thoroughly. That thing on the tailgate, Is affectionately known as the tub, as it accumulates water....
  3. mr expensive does the southbend units for 380+vat
  4. I think you've just answered your own question...
  5. hahahahahah......fine. Just thought id call you up on that one. I'm aware of its purpose :)
  6. What cluster set do you have? I.e what speed do they reed in and what upto?? if they are jspec ones should be able to pick them up very cheaply.
  7. both have their merit, when mine was auto it was a more friendly car, easier round town and had the ability to be very relaxing, and still have the rapid pull through the gear, with you merely holding on, until the box died. as a manual though it kicks down instantly because you do it manually lol, it holds the years far better and you can engine brake properly, and it turns the car into a far more involved and fun drive.
  8. strange comment isn't your slickly being converted from manual to auto???
  9. jeff does some good ones I believe, I purchased a competition clutch ive not even done a 1000 miles on it yet though so cannot comment, so far so good lets put it that way. There was a thread not long ago where it was highlighted about a certain brand off ebay that was a remanufactured item and wasn't very good quality. I think you read it the other day aswel that exedy have stopped producing all clutches for the z32 apart from the mega expensive one, that doesn't fill me with faith. a lot of guys use the rps street max unit.
  10. Its not so much that, the crank and rods are fordged, the pistons however arnt and the bearings are best upgraded. Im by no means an expert but we have a few on here that could give you the ins and outs.
  11. where the hell do I route the vac line through the firewall, cars manual so cant use the clutch master hole anymore. also its got a light up feature where should I take the spur to fee dthis from the sidelights?
  12. Good luck, swb tt's are rare, find one thats 450bhp+ is going to really narrow you down. Most zeds are typically either stock or running around 350-370 fwhp which consists of running a chip and around 14-16psi, this should be fairly cheap. Going to the next stage is where it starts hurting your wallet. Although its not essential to rebuild the bottom end to start heading north of this (the bottom end is apparently good for 500 bhp, with correct fueling and supporting mods) your going to be pulling the block to fit larger turbos, engine out job im afraid, and fitting larger injectors, obviously it would be wise to get things like the cambelt etc sorted before this, where do you draw the line? there is little point is bolting on the supporting equipment to run 500 ponies only to pull it out in six months to have to rebuild it due to a fecked bottom end because a bearing etc was duff. In all honesty there are other cars that are cheaper and easier to pull big number out of, but the z32 makes a true monster when built properly. welcome to the club and I suggest to spend some time floating around reading and learning.
  13. Checked your tps? And all connections?
  14. I agree with mark sounds like youve got a nice boost/vaccum leak.
  15. on reading further its around 112 mph roughly 180 odd kph.
  16. Some jdms had 180kph clocks as they were restricted electronically to a lower speed.
  17. Supposed to but if your spinning or sliding, welll we know how it goes, best brakes in the world wont every crash. - - - Updated - - - Wont stop you I mean
  18. what makes you think your in safety mode?
  19. I think and gaz might be able to say that weve done that, it was set few weeks back.
  20. lol get a 1000 mile son it and I can finally boost it up, ohhh that's gonna be so much fun! still undecided how much boost to run and how to do it :devil2: 19psi outta do it hahaha!
  21. fired her up tonight, had a little check over the bay before I began you know usual checked the oil and coolant levels, let it idle for a minute and popped each coilpack connector just to double check it was firing on all cylinders(yes I'm a paranoid fella) anyways all good, so I progressed over the other usual suspects... temp sensors etc, and hello whats this my cas connection is half hanging off! that may have something to do with it. Anyways im happy to report my car now pulls right through the rev range to redline with just a note of wheel hop at the top of second, it is only 5 degrees c outside today, so cold roads and tyres. Didn't get a go at a 3rd gear pull through the higher revs as it was nearing rush hour and the road was never er... suitable for it lol that's the way im going to choose to put it. Anyho, looks like its done it, and its corrected the low speed juttering on pull away and its less poppy on overrun. overall it seems to have made a bit of a difference.
  22. Yeah thats right smithy plain 11s na plugs, I assume they were fitted asthere half the price.
  23. doesn't matter how big your brakes are if you've already lost traction.
