oh dear
actually, if it wasn't for the awful rear lights and spoiler and a back bumper that doesn't fit that has the potential to be a looker.

Anyone!!
you know what its like mate, previous owner probably tightened them to death, then they get damp where water runs off the bonnet.

MOT Emission failure
also another thought if you've got a boost leak you could be loosing metered air and creating a rich mix.

MOT Emission failure
mine was quite high at idle, fully decatted. however it passed, was fine off idle. however I had loadsa shitty oil burning off in my exhaust from where my turbos had blown, it ran out of mot while I was fixing it so had no choice but to get it tested before it had fully burnt off. - - - Updated - - - whats your base idle and is adjusted correctly?

help please, turbo oil feed line.
right I think its done, I got ye olde blow torch out, bent the spanner and popped off the water line got another nth of a turn on the nut and that's it no way of moving it anymore, with the current tools. anyways cleaned it up with some carb cleaner, ran the engine up to temp. no leak. however I dunno how well it will hold at higher engine loads and higher oil pressures. so il keep an eye on it, if it continues to weep il have to crack out some crows feet. fingers crossed....

300ZX TT Safety Boost? Fuel delivery? Clarification
disconnect the battery for half hour then plug back in, that will clear the codes, however as smithy said I think it sounds a little more than a fuel pump. could be maf or tps or a boost leak. years of sitting around could have seen rubbers going hard and poppin off splitting etc. and the wet weather recently is greta for fecking your maf.

help please, turbo oil feed line.
I obviously didn't do my passenger side turbo oil feed line up quite tight enough, it doesn't drip or anything, so its not that loose however there is a permanent bead of oil rond the fitting which eventually runs round it to the underside, It never makes it to the point of dripping as it evaporates off before it gets there. Anyways ive got pretty good access to it as my air cons deleted, with the battery out its not too bad to get to however one of the water lines is in the way, any tips to getting the thing nipped up again? special shaped spanners etc? or am I going to have to undo the water line?

300ZX TT Safety Boost? Fuel delivery? Clarification
safety boost isn't that noticeable it merely limits the boost to 7psi.

real world talk on intercoolers
The age old conception is that with an intercooler that is more efficient than stock, you get more horsepower. How true is that? do you automatically get more horses, or does it just allow you to run higher levels of boost more densely and i.e safer? so not really a power gain more a safety gain? just wondering what the facts are, and in reality all the people you see running feck off fmic's are more show than go on a car on stock tubs etc. Obviously I understand, that at a certain point with bigger tubs etc , a larger intercooler is required to process an increased level of hotter air and lower that temperature to a safe level. However what I'm asking about here is stock or near stock cars.
