  1. Just gotta get that Tonka toy engine out now.
  2. Ecu coolant sensor fault is going to cause all sorts of issues.
  3. Apparently you can use a 9v battery to see if it squirts, not tried it myself though. You got 7volts, now 11, Poor connection inside the connect is my bet then. Replace the thing, I bet it's scaley and brittle and horrid.
  4. Yup 6 complete, few left haha. Week away from it next week then potentially back on it, or they may bring in a different team to spread it out. I tell you this much though all that PPE regulations and simply the scale of the site is exhausting. Brain is still whirring now, but I've gotta back on site at 7.30, oh the joy. On a more positive note I've cleaned, clay barred and t cutted that bonnet, two more prep processes then il fit it, and the tyres turned up today and are waiting in my fish room for me :)
  5. So have you taken the voltage from the connector itself?
  6. I would guess aluminium. Don't fit a short shiter you will want it off pretty quick lol. It will be Ali or steel, magnet time. If you lift up centre console bit you can access the gear stick itself. Bit fiddly though.
  7. I'd be really tempted to remove the gear stick and get it on the bench.
  8. So we have a spark, we have compression and the injector is being supplied by power and ohming correctly. If it was timing related if expect to see extended issues beyond 1 cylinder.
  9. Lol, I'm surprised at the low reaction. Did you see I can attend the Easter meet now?
  10. Wouldn't go a miss where I'm working ATM right sorta colour :p
  11. Il be about any day if it as it's only about 2 miles away.
  12. Some weird prices there. Bet those tubs are china crap.
  13. Sounds alright but you need the differences between cylinders that's what's important. Is say that sounds ok though.
  14. I don't see why not. Whatever it opened at is what it will open at, your going to struggle to limit yourself to 280 ho on those tubs. A huge boost leak so they never open would likely do it lol.
  15. The other option of there is spark and fuel going in is there is no compression. If you've been running that cylinder like that a while, that is very possible. However I'd expect to see a fair bit of smoke/steam.
  16. Are you sure it's the only one down? Maybe it is firing and you have another one down now.
  17. Yes there is, I think you test it on AC to catch the pulsed 12v but I could be wrong. Surely if it soaked the cylinder it's receiving voltage?
  18. The plug is likely fuel fouled now if there was that much going in. Do you own a small blow torch?
  19. This arrived today. Hello Stephen I'm not sure why the original invitation hasn't reached you, please accept my apologies. Below is the original invitation along with an information flyer attached. Dear Club Coordinator I am delighted to invite your club to participate in the inaugural Bournemouth Wheels Festival. We are holding a Classic Vehicle Pageant in the heart of the festival right on the seafront between Boscombe and Bournemouth piers. Dedicated display space is available to invited car clubs, bike clubs or small commercial vehicle clubs who register with us in advance. The Pageant will also feature arena shows and a trade village. Each club will be offered a designated club pitch appropriate for the number of vehicles attending with enough space for a small club infrastructure such as a gazebo or information unit. Each participant will also receive a complimentary commemorative car sticker. In addition we will be holding a concours competition to include categories such as 'Best in Show', 'vehicle we would most like to take home' and 'best club display' etc. Participants can also enjoy the evening entertainment culminating in a spectacular firework display each night. As club coordinator could I ask that you simply respond to this email with the following information: Your full club name Contact details including e-mail address and telephone number Type of infrastructure you envisage bringing e.g. gazebo, trailer, hospitality unit. The days you intent to participate Estimated number of vehicles attending All club applications must be submitted by Friday 25th April Once the information above has been received I will ask individual participants can book their places via email to me. I will then issue an E-Ticket which each participant simply prints out and brings with them on the day so that our staff can correctly direct them on their arrival, this ticket will be exchanged for a wristband and complimentary goodie bag on the day. Additional information is included on the attached flyer, please feel free to distribute this flyer to members of your club and if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me using any of the methods below. I look forward to welcoming you to this exciting new event on the motoring calendar. Kind regards James Hodgson So I need any one who's interested to contact me ASAP for numbers and booking.
  20. Right assuming they are the stock ones.... A pressure of 7psi will begin the opening procedure. Stock boost is 9psi, there is a tiny restrictor in place that reduces the pressure the actuator sees, exactly the same principal as boost jets. This tricks the actuator into thinking 9psi is 7psi and so on and so forth. To test your actuator simply apply 7psi to the actuator and it should open. This is obviously significantly more obvious on the bench than in situee. Any pump will do as it's such a short run small diameter tube. You'd have bloody strong lungs to make more than 3psi. They should work the same regardless of the airs source. Why do you want to check? Do you suspect their faulty?
  21. What part of wilts are you in bud?
  22. Any takers? Correspondence from them has been mighty slow, ive had one reply and I've sent a chasing mail this morning.
  23. Yes, you need a boost leak tester and a compressor.
