  1. I've been saying for a year or two, a few have agreed and a few have argued the converse, however I would based on those two alone prices are on the rise. That second car wouldn't have made a grand 5 years ago. My jdm tt auto with 80k on the clocks with a fresh paint job cost me 2k. How much zed can you buy for £500 to £1000 a lot less than a few years back. I Spose our unofficial breakers who buy these cars that always turn out to rusty before being added to their junk pile. Keep it up guys. :D
  2. If it works, it works. Did you have it made?
  3. I really like them, just haven't got the space or time for one right now and the prices just keep going up. I must admit the rb block sits in there lovely, that's the beauty of keeping the same cyl layout. Nissan have gradually move away from the L6 motors over time, the z first then the GTRs. I think generally the 6 cyl misers are being phased out, the next zed is rumoured to house a 4cyl biturbo.
  4. Is that a dry sump or just a custom baffled one bob?
  5. Not many people seem to do it. Il tell you what I plan to replace if that helps? Lower arm bushes, Adjustable upper arms, Steering rack bushes, Engine and box mounts, Steering rack bush, That's about it I think.... Tension rod bushes are already done and my steering arms are new from last year. So yeah that about covers it I think.
  6. Prffffff, good luck keeping them that way is all I'm saying.
  7. The worst bit, hands down or upside down as you will likely end up doing it, is the clutch booster. Good luck. Plenty of us have done it so loads of advice if you get stuck.
  8. Rather you than me....it's really not very complex, it is however long winded.
  9. Are they polished or chromed?
  10. Pheasants should be banned from the highways, decapitated one this morning.
  11. I got insured on the zed from a Capri at 21 no issues.
  12. Haha, think how big the fuel tank in a zed is then how much fuel you actually used on this journey, hilarious stuff. I remember driving mine to Cornwall and having vapors left, juicy.
  13. I got mind from MJP very reasonable.
  14. I completely understand where your coming from mate.
  15. Seen that car in the flesh more than once, nice bit of metal.
  16. I also need to do this.
  17. As bri said, but if injection style fuel hose will be ideal.
  18. Just use a second hand (give it a good flush) tt rad in the tt shell then. The oil cooler inbuilt in auto rads is simply a self contained loop, leaving the take offs open will have no bearing. So you can use either in your manual car. Are you putting an na engine in a tt shell?
  19. Most go for a semi synth 10/40
  20. So it must me the rack return line.
  21. I'm doing an event locally on the friday, and I was planning on another in my area on the Sunday although that's looking less likely due to work loads. Otherwise I woulda come up, the gorge has been on my list for a while.
  22. How light do you want it to be? Tbh compared to today's sports cars it's pretty light. Weighing in about the same as a mondeo with 2/3 times the power. Most of the people going on Bout the z being very heavy do some from a car weighing only around 200kg less, let's be fair picking up a fat chick could be just as detrimental to your car, at least the zed isnt embarrassing to be seen with. A common comment from Civic owners is haven't you heard of power to weight, the z is soo heavy. Some simple maths reveals 150 odd hp per tonne in the civic and 200 odd in the Z, silly kids.
  23. Lol, we ain't never dun seen dem forgins, Ase we Greg. There's a world of idoits, arseholes and combinations of both out there. I can spot the city drivers who live their driving life at a max of 30mph and cannot navigate an A road for toffees. I do recon we should remove all the sign posts though so all them city types get lost when they come round here.... Haha
  24. The reservoir is feeds the pump via a 22mm diameter line which is low pressure, two high lines come off the pump one to the hicas ultimately and the other to the ps rack. These then return to the resi pot, obv one via the HICAS. Arnt you deleting the hicas soon?
