  1. For now as a driver it's safer to say no, as a supporting team member then yes I will be there. If for example you need some extra space bob I can help with that as il be going up in my caddy.
  2. Lol sorry 3k! It's heavy rated for 500bhp stage 2 I believe can't remember what the price was it was about 2 years ago.
  3. I've got a competition clutch but it's not even done 300k miles and it's only supporting stock boost ATM.
  4. Silly point, check your tyre pressures as well as your alignment.
  5. Have a search on 300zxclub.com so many more big numbers zeds over there.
  6. Just replace the clutch unit itself. A lightweight flywheel is going to net you about 2hp! Yeah you can rev the engine freer, but there's some advantages to a bit of weight on the fly. Save the fly money and spend it on the clutch itself.
  7. This is coming along nicely. Its actually a free event to browse around. I'm going to contact them and see if we can have a club stand if enough members are interested?
  8. Just found this, there are actually some quarter mile events near me in Honiton, around an hour away. http://dakotaraceway.co.uk/dragracing/ I've sent them an email for more information.
  9. Well japfest is going to be a bit of a mechanical test for the car this year. If it survives that nicely I will be open to the idea of trying harder to break it lol. In all seriousness though, if you need to know before then I can't say yes to participating. However what I can say is that I will be in attendance even if it's simply a spectator/spanner monkey role with the van.
  10. It's soooo tempting. How soon would you need to know bob?
  11. Sat on my bucket, yes bucket. I haven't progressed to a sofa in this room yet and damn well not going to sit on the floor the fish tank looks funny from down there.
  12. Odd isn't it. Il openly admit, I'd be a liar if I said I didn't, speed quite often. I do however make a rule of doing so when it's safe, ie not when the conditions are poor, traffic or round town. Too me this is acceptable, what isn't and drives me wild is these lunatics that do 40 everywhere....national speed limit a road 40, this changes to 30 or even 20 because a village or worse a village with a school arrives, they continue at the aforementioned 40. Not only does this show disregard and ignorance to other road users it proves they are not even thinking or observing the road ahead which is highly dangerous. The bottom line, wether a carpark or a village or section of motorway being an inconsiderate **** causes accidents, even if not directly.
  13. If we could get Ca few of us together I recon itv would be a laugh.
  14. The only issue there is bob, is it's the other end of the country and I don't have the ability to trailer the car, be a real shit bag to have to drag it back from there an hour or so isn't the end of the world but the other end of the country gets rather expensive lol.
  15. Cheers guys, I'm finding ways to enjoy my car legally and this is on my list of things to try.
  16. I can see how that could be an issue. It's about 2.5 hours away for me so an expensive joinery for a big traffic jam and not even a miles worth of track action lol.
  17. I personally haven't run a quarter mile before, I've looked at those various events and Rwyb Sundays, which are obviously the easiest way to get a go at it. However, I'm guessing from previous pics etc it's damn busy, getting 3/4 runs a day, that sounds boring. One fat long traffic jam. So what's the deal? Is it always that bad? Is there a quiet time or a way we could get a few of us together on a weekday for a zed only session? Also it says that if your expecting to run +110 mph passes you need a helmet? I'm assuming that it would be wise as that is potentially possible?
  18. I used to be a vinyl wrapper, I had to get out of it when then they moved to CD. Too commercial these days, they forgotten about the music ma homie.
  19. Oh the one on the ball joint that holds the hub on? That thing is a prick! I gave up and replaced them together. Think it's a big bigger too ain't it 22mm seems to ring a bell.
  20. Am I reading that as I'm on track at 5 to 12? With everyone in that collum?
  21. You could apply air pressure to the wastegates to see if they open. However I think that's a going to be hard to see the drivers side, and b unlikely the cause. Have you done a boost leak test?
  22. You shoulda sold it down the pub lol
