  1. The quicker we can get some numbers guys the better chance we had of getting something good organised for you. Don't worry if your zed is sorn is just a good chance to speak to people face to face and meet other members.
  2. That wasn't quite what I was saying dave, but yeah it's ok. Not overly fond of astons, they all look pretty much the same there loads around. If I was gonna go splurge the 100k+ on a supercar an Aston would be pretty low down the list of wants.
  3. Haven't seen him or his car for about three years.
  4. Il be driving at it will be gone 11am...need I say more :p
  5. There's not much too them tbh, if your mechanically minded you may wish to rebuild them yourself. Rebuilds seem to have thier haters, stating they just don't last as long. I don't see why they shouldn't and the quality if the rebuild make be the deciding factor. If you do decide to go home method, check around to find a turbo shop that will balance them many of them will only balance what they have built, luckily there's one near me that will balance home builds and they WILL need balancing without it they won't last five minutes. In hindsight would I have rebuilds again, well after buying genuine garret kits and paying for balancing the costs were higher than I first expected, both were rebuilt as I didn't know which has leaking. It might be only marginally more expensive that it's viable to buy a brand new chra from the states. I chose to have rebuilt stockers due to financial constraints at that time but I wish I'd had the funds to replace them with a quality BB turbo at that point. If your prepared to pull the engine etc shop around and investigate your options prices for turbo rebuilds and parts/labour vary wildly. A proper job by a proper professional isn't going to be cheap like the budgey. I spoke to one guy proclaiming cheap rebuilds and after some questions he let slip that they arnt balanced. You get what you pay for.
  6. Check to see if there's a vac connection not attached on the clutch servo, it may not be connected.
  7. I've got Bailey atmospheric dumps dc37 I believe, Bailey have a really good reputation in the ford world so I've got no hesitation with the qualiftty.plus because they are in common use on mancars, I was able to get hold of a pair for very little, Chinese junk.would have cost more. Think it was about £60 for the pair.
  8. I wouldn't want it so it's merely a functional suggestion but you could have a bonnet rake euro style, that would give you about an inch of clearance without cutting holes. Alternatively a power bulge, think 70s muscle. There's a very subtle one there from stock so simply (I say simply it's not) accentuate what's there from factory.
  9. Il pick you up and we can go up in the van Gaz, seeing as both cars are undergoing surgery :D
  10. That's a shame Howard, would have of been good to have a proper chat. Was a bit brief at simply japanese.
  11. Forget about nicely nicely, he has sold you a COUNTERFEIT item, it's not like you brought a openly cheap reproduction its a copy of a branded item sold as genuine. Get a refund, you have been conned!
  12. Has the MOT guy ever commented on them? I was under the impression there weren't strictly legal?
  13. It's a counterfeit product end of. Inform him that if you don't receive a full refund within 14 days you will lodge a complaint with trading standards, you paid for what you thought was genuine it isn't.
  14. Ahh, they have those 3 bolt down pipes don't they. So your cars externally gated and these dump to atmosphere, as screamers? Bet that sounds like a jet engine on full chat.
  15. You should not have any open vacumm lines or ports. It would appear it's been removed or that's popped off, check around that area for a loose one. I can't remember what that take off is for and mines long since changed, referance it against the other engine. It would also appear both those engines have automatic balance bars, that's the thick black steel the on the top rear of the plenum. There are also some redundant electrical pick ups on the drivers wing on the black one and the 2nd clutch bleed point is gone, I would suggest it's highly likely this car was orginally automatic. Nothing wrong with that simply an observation.
  16. That's different, what turbos do you have?
  17. You have external waste gates.
  18. FCZ 2-44 that's what my eyes make it, it's a complete guess though tbh.
  19. As mark said it's genuinely not that bad, you swapping literal cartridges. The engine has a lot of bits that hold it to the body fluids to be drained umpteen electrical connections. The rear subframe and gearbox are paradise in comparison. Well done mark for club spirt.
  20. Because.... Increasing value helps with declared value and subsequent insurance payout. If you have sunk xxxxx into your zed then some oik crashes into it at it has a market value if £1k which was certibatly the case a few years ago unless you managed to get an agreed value that's all your going to get. Higher market value, better chance of greater renumeration. Overal market price, particularly the top end is a good indication of the cars profile. As an owners club part of our interests is to see the car WE believe to be a great piece of machinery experience the notetiriatry that it deserves, increasing prices indicate increased desirability, ie it's going well. Thats a massive subject and constantly on going. The Z32 has a bad rep that needs shaking, last two years it's having that rep well and truly shaken, that is in part reflected by the increased monetary value of them. The more the Z32 is worth and respected the more likely it is to be looked after, by that I don't just mean garage queens but cars that are used aswel not just an ornament to grow mould on falling apart on some chavs drive. Maintaince costs are forcing ownership away from those who can't afford to run and maintain them properly and ensures that they go to or remain with people who can and do. That is occuring, the numbers of wreckers is falling and the numbers of quality well maintained zcars is in the rise. With the average standard being higher and the average quality higher the reputation is higher. Most peoples experiences with Z32s that don't like them is with with beat up examples, you won't get a good impression that way. The new owners and older owners of these good example will be prepared to invest higher as the car is worth more, it's easier to swallow spending £3k to fix a car worth £10k than one worth £1k. In short, price is only important if you wish to sell. However it has other offsets and is a good indication of the cars public profile which is a key interest in any car club. Also it's not a boy racer car  boy racers can't insure let alone run a z32 they by Saxos, still yes and may upgrade if you consider is that to a civic maybe one with vtec yo. Enjoy your zed art look after it and remember it's an appricating classic.
  21. Feel sorry for anyone that got done, you just can't trust everybody. What a barstard.
  22. If I was you I'd be seriously excited by this point.
  23. The resivoir connection, the thick tube from the pas pot to the pump, on a Ty its got two take offs, one for ech section. You've deleted a section, this leaves areduntant feed. It's like an upsidedown y shape.
  24. So you will just have a random flange blanked off in the breeze?
