In that case buy a TT then. It will be cheaper and easier to change to an NA rear sub assembly than swap in a TT engine to an NA car.

I expect the Wastegate actuator will have it's preset boost value written on it. It may even be adjustable. It seems quite common that most turbos have a higher rated Wastegate than stock which is a measly 7psi.

From memory the r230 and r200 diffs are about 20kg different, with the r230 being the heavier and il tell you now it's bloody heavy. You will save weight by not having hicas as you won't have two steering racks but that can be deleted on a TT without too much silliness. Tbh if your worried about weight you need the correct platform to begin with ie a slicktop, that extra 4" of sill and the targa accommodations add a whole fat kid. I believe the autobox adds a fair chunk of weight to. The NA is a fair bit down on power comparatively, you will not gain any power to weight out the box by simply choosing an NA. Even if you saved 200-250kg thats still 100hp your missing and as you likely know it's not hard to increase the tt's power. Tuning an NA is a mugs game in my opinion the financial outlay to get an NA close to closing the power gap is very high esp considering the aforementioned ability for the TT to gain power. That being said the NA is a solid car, what you loose in power you gain in reliability. That has it's merits. It really depends on what you want overall and how you plan to use it. I know of an NA slicktop that's faster on track than most people in TTs, shorter gearing might help but I suspect the driver helps more. You can go through pretty drastic weight loss like jaffa's car, it is a focused track weapon though. Personally despite the fact I've thrown a lot of crap (or luxuries) out I wouldn't want to loose the door cars for example. Most of what I've removed has been for the aim of simplification purposes rather than out and out right weight loss.

I didn't think it was bad at all just fiddly. It's the luck of the draw as to how those turbo elbows will behave. If your lucky after a good soak in WD or similar they will wind right out. If your unlucky you will snap studs etc leaving you with a new problem. Can you not make a temporary repair, gum gum or exhaust wrap for the mot which will last a little while. I know it's not ideal but it's not an ideal scenario. If your not mechanically confident you could cause more head aches than it's worth when a simple temporary repair in this case may be adequate.

Well either way the truth won't stay hidden long. It will either be found by the police/walker etc in a carpark burned to the floor or the parts will start cropping up all over the bay etc. Although that being said I've seen cars get nicked and be found out of fuel or tyres parked very casually in a residential street, effectively with not much harm done. I maintain though it's an odd car for a general car thief to nick.

I know I've struggled to get the pump into the bracket before as if it it didn't quite fit. Some filing made that easier. I can't really grab what your asking though. You are refitting the pump that was previously in there yeah?

All very good points. You can hammer them but it's the consumer that will pay, so maybe financial punishment isn't the way forward. I just find it annoying that had this been a terrestrial event one that effected avian and mammalian life they would be crucified. Yet despite the fact that it will effect both longer term the public interest to prosecute and damn them isn't there due to the aquatic mature of the incident. This event had it's first year last year, so it wasn't that one. I think your thinking of the sunseeker Rallye which we hold each year, it's a qualifying round for something or other which means we get the full run of rally cars from classic minis and escorts right up to present day focus' etc I've been a few times myself. Sadly the gardens and promenade part has been dropped due to health and safety about 5 years ago now I suppose. It's still a great event though, kind of requires a hack or 4wd as many stages are in the sticks and you need to drive across the swampy feilds to reach the stages to spectate. Bournemouth wheels festival is more tourist aimed and is based long the beach spread out over miles. Following a similar format to the much loved bournemouth airshow. Think goodwood with a spade and bucket and FREE. You can expect stuff like this;

Set to be a big one, we sadly missed the boat last year but we won't miss it this year. A weekend of free fun on the 29-31st of May will see a feast from BMX bikes to Monster trucks and everything between, yes even F1 cars.
