Not my sort of thing but I can appricate it for what it is. It's a far more sensible track toy than what most of us would choose which makes more useable, more use, more fun...also I'm guessing there are more events that it would be eligible for in comparison to say sonething like a zed?

Can't say it's something I've seen myself, are you sure it's a boost sensor? Maybe it's not stock, a picture might help.

There's only 2 stock boost solenoids as such which are down on a brass plate on the turbo, they look like this; Then the actuators for the wastegates on the turbos themselves; You have a loop these two are within this which is how the safety boost works. The EBC tricks the actuator to seeing less pressure, this opens the gate later and at higher overall system psi. Some have only one solenoid on the EBC so you take your two Wastegate feeds the 6mm ones Tee them equally and run a single to the ebc solenoid. Like this it's the yellow lines your interested in currently and your boost sensor for the dash is in the other side as that's an American diagram; If you google robos 300zx page there's loads if diagrams and write ups that will help you.

Sorry "not" to utilise them. That's exactly my point, my mate looked at me very squiffy when I was trying to tell him they don't work long term on zeds. I don't think he believed me since like you say they are standard fare.

Several companies have made them and ceased production, due to the cracking issue. One reputable stateside company went as far as making them from inconnel with the same results sadly. Tubular manifolds are extremly good at flowing gasses which is why the zed is one of very few cars to utilise them.

Cost vs performance gain. It's for my temporary engine, I wouldn't entertain them as a fit and forget item but in my scenario I can pretty much consider them disposable if necessary, I can just weld up the cracks if necessary.

Set if tubular tt manifolds sold for £41 last few seconds I had a max of 40.99 set 30 secs before the end. Wanted them lol.

Nothing is indestructible, hard to break yes but indestructible is simply a target for the hooligans. :devil: On a serious note, notice how the stock layout and subsequent rehashes by the likes of Ashspecz etc has a hard pipe on the elbow there. The silicone is just a small straight with minimum resistance. That point that's failed is the hottest part of the intake/intercooler loop, couple that with the fact that your gaining resistance as a result of bending the current of air, think how a river cuts it's path always eroding the bend to straighten up. Resistance equals heat. Basically there's ALOT of stress being exerted on that point of the elbow. When you think about it that poor bend is bound to crack/split/stretch basically fail eventually. This is mostly speculation but it's based on applied theory. Poor design IMO.

You can delete so much of that crap and make life easier.

My series 1 JDM had the leather with the adjustable lumbars and back support and tweed cards etc, cruise control, automatic lots of toys. It's had a lot of it changed admittedly but that's how it came.
