  1. Look very similar to those badged up as japspeed, godspeed, corp etc.
  2. Will the car still be MOT'd and road legal?
  3. So that's what a man will say for a Mars bar.
  4. Don't lock the power on. If you hadn't it would have likely been a lot less worse. But hey, hindsight is wonderful. As said thank god it wasn't a cutting disc. It's worth mentioning that cutting/grinding discs that are poorly fitted or flawed have a good potential to explode, now that is Interesting. Always respect the grinder they can be bloody evil.
  5. Oh I do apologise Joel. However thanks for the bump...:P
  6. I have had a soft spot for these for these, when they first came out I really liked them but they were too much money. Great car. My like for the early shape has reduced a fair bit though. The later VXR8 is a stunner though. Enjoy it I recon you will have great fun.

  8. Just type it into the search bar and read the comments and experiences. The amount of members who have fitted them made by various manufactures and the vast majourity have the same complaint. That it makes gear engaugement tricker and the whole thing notchy. Most end up go back to stock sooner or later. As Si said try changing the bushes. Il have a measure later and see how far/close the knob is from the dash in gear.
  9. Do not, buy a used Z engine off the bay for £800 expecting a better engine. I had a bad experience with that. I paid 250 for my latest engine from Lee dent. Are you 100% set on using a vg30dett, it's a great engine but better options exist for an S30 chassis.
  10. Just to let you know. The gear stick isn't straight. If your punching the stero my bet is someone's fitted it backwards. Undo the pin rotate the stick 180 degrees and see how it feels. Good luck with the short shifter, you wouldn't be the first to have issues I'm afraid to say.
  11. Took one out today for it's first proper drive since all the work. Was out for about two and half hours...love it.
  12. Jammy git. Something that's firmly on my wish list.
  13. Is that a genuine one? Looks genuine...
  14. I didn't say it was bad...getting used to the now audible diff is the hard bit.
  15. Sorry to hear that nick, was looking forward to putting a face on you. I know you've been having mechanical issues though, it happens.
  16. That's fine Ben. Drop outs always happen, I've had to do it myself more than once. It's a nice casual event so no ones let down but thankyou for letting us know. Good luck and hopefully we will see you in the future.
  17. Entrance is slightly earlier than last year at 9am. If you wish to travel the last few miles in convoy like previous years. The rally point is as follows, please be there at 8 with the intention to be leaving around half past to quarter too. Tesco Applemore Sizer Way Dibden Southampton Hampshire SO45 5JA
  18. The amount of effort you put into that old slushbox, you could have gone manual! In all seriousness though, well done for not just throwing something dirty on in a hurry.
  19. Welcome to the world of introducing yourself by a weird name. Hi am Gary Wilson is way easier to blurt out than "hi I'm Gary, aka gaz300" trust me....
  20. Mine may go, I'm just not comfortable with those two screw on arch at 2 and 11 that are begging to gouge the tyre. That would allow me to comfortably drop another 15-20mm up front. Very sharp looking car that. A bit too low for me but that's just personal choice. No scrubbing issues? I notice there's a fair bit of camber up front?
  21. There's a blast from the past. That is seriously low. I take it you no longer have front arch liners?
  22. Plenty of travel now the arch is rolled .:)
  23. It's incredibly sharp. Body roll is non existent, it is however very harsh. Hopefully il take it out for a play this weekend. - - - Updated - - - Are those genuine LMGT4s? Very smart wheel.
