  1. You should certainly recheck them after a few hundred miles of having them off, pretty much any tyre place will state it on the invoice. I checked mine last weekend because I knew I was going to take the car out, out, and I'd had the wheels off recently. Always sensible. That being said I know plenty of people that have dropped the car off the stands driven off the drive and round the corner only to go, "oh sheite!!!" And have to go home and redo it. It's so easy to do them hand tight then forget to tweak them up.
  2. Have you had it mapped? Or does it have a generic chip?
  3. I've got solids with matching diff bushes. They do transmit a lot of noise, 70+mph I can clearly hear the diff over the exhaust. Collars are ideal as dropping the frame is a pain.
  4. Awesome. Look forward to the result, then il have to zip up to you and sponge a ride
  5. Would it not of been cheaper to post them? did you have a good trip?
  6. Your Boost solenoid is on the otherside to that diagram, so that line goes straight from the plenum to the sensor cutting out the whole loop. Then you need to blank the one on the throttle body and accordion pipe, you can temporarily link them if you haven't got neat bungs.
  7. you all mapped now?
  8. You should still have one on the drivers, that's the EGR. Then one on the passenger, there's the PRV. If your EGR has been removed then I'm wondering where the vac connection from it is going. The EGR and AIV use a little hard tree on the plenum. Just delete all that crap, so you will just have the bare minimum. These should help; http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/197828.html
  9. Trouble is you can't get them in the UK can you. So you end up having to tie it in or pay ridiculous postage. I'm tempted to knock a dozen up tbh.
  10. I have to say I agree. The whole point in doing what your doing is future proofing. We all understand your on a budget, pretty much all of us are but doing half the job doesn't do what you set out to do. Make sure you set the tension and rotate the engine by hand to check you've not made any mistakes.
  11. The marks are as a guide. I repeat, count the teeth as per the FSM.
  12. They line up with the marks on the pulleys. You must count the teeth as per the FSM as well. Your engine was a 0BTDC before you started yeah?

  14. All I want to know is the 5v out put, when is it triggered and how. Ie does it send out 5v constantly unless you run lean/rich then take the bolts away or vice versa.
  15. Don't want to use one at present because, A it's an unneccessary purchase/complication and B I plan to use one down the line to accomdate an accusump, so I wouldn't have enough ports. This option seems to fit the bill. I'm still toying with which AFR to buy and where to locate it. I don't fancy two separate gauges, too many gauges, bit ricer. Some you can have both banks on the same gauge and different options. It's only going to be a safeguard rather than an a tuning tool, that will down to the mapper.
  16. Tickets are available both in advance and on the day. So technically the deadline is the day. However we need book a slot for the club so we need an idea of numbers. - - - Updated - - - That's a shame.

  18. Nice one, good to see people out having fun.
  19. Top job Dan. Your going to have a quality car at this rate.
  20. Installed the gauge holder where the stereo was. The centre slot is reserved for an AFR gauge. Then I started faffing around testing out to see if the idea I have for mounting the sender for my oil temp gauge will work. Which in happy to report it looks like it will. Always helps having spares for stuff like this.
  21. If he's looking at spending 150k-200k, 10k is half the deposit. Plus if you haven't got a car that requires a space or storage to keep you don't need as bigger house etc. A lot of flats and houses come with just one parking space these days remember.
  22. Give it another 10 years.
  23. I am warning to the ambers, don't know why, I hate orange. Do we know that, that is a road car? It seems to be in a warehouse. It's nice to see that spoiler is bolted to the chassis instead of to the boot lid, cod as we all know the boot lid is really solid on the z, not.
  24. Haha! I must confess sometimes we ate chilli too, living the dream. No matter how poor I get I'm never drinking Asda Ecconomy orange squash again, I'd rather just drink plain water, it's grim.
  25. That's exactly what I was going to say. I had visions of the next question. " I can't get the crank bolt undone" while all 50kg of 17 year old hangs off a 30cm long ratchet. That crank bolt is TIGHT, you can't get an impact gun in there, so it's big bar and hope what ever you've done to lock it up holds. Stuff that, when you can do as you say, quick flick and bang it's off lol. It's not redneck Ali it's ingenuity, take it from a redneck.
