Evenin fellas (and gals) Took the Zed for a short run today and the idle was still at about 1500.. I had a play with the air con and sure enough, the idle dropped back to normal. Was only a short run, but idle seems to be fine now. Gonna have a thorough look tomorrow, but I guess that this info narrows down what I should be checking? Cheers

I can see Z1 sell them, but prefer to deal with uk companies. Looks like the turbos alone are about £700 - that sound about right? (better get saving..)

air con was off, but the radiator fan was blowing more than usual, probably because the engine was quite hot - but not excessively so. Does this affect the idle at all? cheers

Aye, 32 (nearly), 5 yrs NCB - clean licence = £700 fully comp with SKY (We don't charge a high premium but it'll cost you a small fortune to call us..) Insurance.

Hi folks, Really enjoying the Zed at the moment, but being a pessimist I can't help but think huge expense is looming just around the corner.. Car has done about 70 thou miles now and smokes once its been stood a week or so. I know there could be plenty of other reasons for the smoke, but I'm already assuming the worst while hoping for the best.. Irrespectively, the turbos will have had enough eventually (I also think the boost has been tweaked on my motor judging by the performance - so maybe sooner than later), so where do I start thinking about their replacement? I'm pretty confident that they'll last until I stow the car away for winter, but I may be asking Santa for some over the winter months.. I'd like some that enhance performance but don't suffer from lag. Who's had what and how do they perform? Cheers

Evenin all, Just got back from a bit of a blast tonight, while the turbo timer was running down the engine was idling at about 1300rpm. Also noticed it when i was waiting at some traffic lights just befor i got back. Tried blipping the throttle to help it settle, but stayed at a constant 1300ish Any ideas? Checked the throttle springs, but not long since i WD40'd em...

A suit for all occaisions! Like when you have to go to court cos you got caught robbing banks and selling drugs to folks...:yes: For some reason I keep thinking about Train Spotting and the scene when 'Spud' has to go for the job interview! 'Just have a wee dab of this, right?'. Priceless. Suits are awful things anyway, so no point wasting good 'stella' money on something you'll only wear at weddings, funerals and court hearings.. Not bad for a wrong 'un!

Glad you're getting there with it Nick, Hopefully not too long befor you can while away many hours sat revving your V8:drool: Still undecided what action to take regarding your wheels. Those others I was waiting to see weren't what I was expecting so, not found an ideal solution yet. Might just stick with mine.. will let you know. Anyhow, hope it gets a bit more straight forward for you now! If you need any help with turning the key, then let me know! I'm not very mechanical, but I do have a very strong forearm and wrist! I'm with them too.. Just don't look at your phone bill.. It's about £1.90 a minute to call them:w00t: When i bought my Zed it was May Bank Holiday, I called them - expecting to get the 'office closed' recorded message, but instead navigated my way through the menu into a queue. After half an hour it became apparent my call wasn't going to get answered and I hung up. When I called back next day, I was informed no-one was there on bank holiday and I shouldn't have got into a queue.. I told them my phone bill was eleventy hundred quid and they promptly told me to GET FOOKED. Bar-stewards. On a seperate note, they've been nothing but charming when I'm giving them money. Odd isn't it..
