Soggy Carpet...
Just been and sat it the car for a bit on this lovely day.. No water leaking in from targa, but floor is soggy once again.. What's the drain plug you are referring to? Think I need to fit a plug to the floor pan, nearly enough water to do my washing up! Cheers

Gran Turismo 5 review coming soon!
well, each to their own. Just had a fairly focused effort at finding a track list. Basically, no-one is 100 % sure - still a few mysteries. Most of the obvious tracks are there tho.. Who's gonna fork out for the 'collecters - i rubbed my privates on the box - edition'? Looks like you get stealth cars.. like in GT4 - remember the all black nissan 89C/92C Le Mans cars? Also toyota gt one and Mazda 787b - all had matt black paint and very few stickers.. Bend me over the counter per-lease..:scared:

Gran Turismo 5 review coming soon!
Yes.. Seriously, who gives a monkey's toss about the TG track though? You can't be serious - its got 3 corners or something crap and its on an airfield as wide as most roads are long. Couldn't imagine a duller circuit if you pushed my face into it... Nurgburgring is infinitely more challenging. Personally, I'd like to see Spa on the tracklist. anyone know the full track list?

My new front Bumper
As you've probably already realised - somethings just not quite right. It doesn't look terrible, but it isn't exactly an improvement either. Good effort though - if everyone followed the same tried and tested routes we'd never come up with anything new. I'd have another stab at it befor you go for the 99 spec - which are pretty common. If at first you don't succeed... cheers

Passenger Footwell trim..
If I lift the carpet on the passenger side you can see the ECU and wires n stuff. Am I missing a peice of trim? I would've expected somethin to rest your feet on.. Cheers

Soggy Carpet...
Yeah, targa seals do leak a bit. But I just can't believe they leak so much that I had a water feature in my front footwell! Been out in the car tonight. Was still a little damp, but difficult to tell if it was residual moisture or some fresh leakage. Gonna have to sit in the car next time theres a heavy downpour. Off work next week, so should get chance then.. Cheers

One off GTO
Actually thought that was Funky Si's Zed for a minute, such is the awesome quality. The way it hangs together is simply breath-taking (as in, I couldn't stop laughing) I do like wide boy cars, but it has to look like a motorsport special to carry it off. Not sure that superman badges really add to that classy feel. That rear picture says it all - all form and no function. Looks like the centre peice of the wheels were fitted on the 'wrong' side of the rim, presumably because the drive shafts were twisting like a piece of rope at that length:scared: Love the fact he states '1 of only 1 ever made'. What? You mean no-one copied this peice of.... art? Tells you all you need to know. Also, 8ft wide? WTF? that's wider than a Lamborghini.. Just proves money can't buy taste. DISCLAIMER: I admit I have absolutely zero taste.

Interior Colours and pictures
Makes me laugh - spent 000's on an interior retrim then put the old floor mats back in!! Not my cup of tea, but looks like a half decent effort. I think Leg-rath's (sorry, Yowser's) pic is a bit more understated and classy though. Can't help thinking of nineties BMWs when I see cream and black. Personally I prefer tan colour to cream, but as I said - I have dubious taste anyway. Just realised... Is the above quoted pic actually a standard later model interior? Just thought i'd cover myself befor someone jumps down my neck..

Interior Colours and pictures
Try not to over-do the interior. If it looks like you're trying too hard - it'll make the car look cheap. High contrast interiors don't do it for me. They're ok just a bit naff IMO. I think your dials will look good with whatever you choose colourwise, but a low-key blue and black theme could tie it together nicely. Just don't go OTT with it. Personally I have charcoal grey tweed interior and I will be having my new seats re trimmed to match (cloth - not leather) - so what do I know!

Soggy Carpet...
No pillar gauges.. I have noticed a hole in the front targa seal - but there's also one on the passenger side, so I guess this is normal.. Need to have another check today and see whats what. Working very long days at the mo tho - was gonna take the car for a spin last night but fell asleep watching mythbusters:yawn: Will have a look and see if problem has recurred. cheers

Soggy Carpet...
I've only ever noticed the targa leaking once while I was driving.. Wasn't really dripping, just a couple of drops seeping through. Certainly not enough to get your arm wet.. But then again, problem could be worse when the car is stationary - but I wouldn't know, as I'm never in the car then! I wondered if the vents at the bottom of the windscreen had a habit of depositing water into the cabin? Not much evidence as to where the water the water is coming from, just where it ends up!

180sx / 240z
At first I thought - cool, good idea. After seeing the back end and side-on pics all I can say is:hurl: The thing that really annoys me is - it was probably one of the cleanest 180sx's in the country before he buggered about with it. Hopefully, someone will buy it and restore it! Also - why buy a car you don't want to use? Clearly a Retard:confused1:

Soggy Carpet...
Was giving the Zed a wash and hoover at the weekend and noticed the driver's side carpet was a bit wet. I put this down to a slightly leaky targa seal and plenty of rain we'd had recently. I dried the carpet with a cloth and then left the mat out and the roof off to help it dry out, but when i went back to check progress it was still damp.. It was only after trying to dry for a second time that I realised the more force I used to dry the carpet, the wetter it got.. On closer inspection I found that there was actually a puddle sat underneath the carpet that had soaked into the insulation. I stripped off the plastic trim and peeled back the carpet only to find a small swimming pool in the drivers footwell:laugh: After much towel soaking and wringing I got it pretty much dry again and refitted all the trim, but I was just a bit concerned. I started to worry that the matrix was leaking and would also explain why the coolant levels were low a few weeks back. But after checking the levels, everything was tip top, also the water in the footwell was not green like the fluid in the cooling system - so best guess is the matrix is fine. Which leaves me to think that the water must have just accumulated over time, but I'm surprised I had noticed it befor. I must have mopped out a good litre of water. Is there any other way water can leak into the cabin on the drivers side, other than a little drip-drip from the targa? will have another check after today's lovely weather:no:

Any time, any place (midlands) - but soon.
I'd be up for a rolling road session, if the cost was reasonable. Would be interested to see what boost and power my engine is running. WHo's gonna do the groundwork on this? You up for it Rob?:thumbup1:

5 psi boost
Sounds like you need to get the car on some rollers... If its not boosting fully and you don't know too much about the history of the engine then a rolling road will put your mind at rest that the mapping etc is right. Also they will be able to tell you if there are any problems.. I doubt it would be anything major though. Looks like you got a whole can of Whupass just waiting to be opened!!

IM gutted got eaten alive by a Fiat 20v turbo
How very true.. My mate has an R33GTS-T running 340hp at the fly. From a standing start it wasn't until after 110mph that he started to gain, by which time he'd run out of road. Leon was smoking like a Lada too, which didn't help my mate's esteem. Fiat Coupe's are tasty in a straight line, but just think he's never gonna know what power oversteer is. I know the Fiart handles reasonably, but its always gonna feel better in the Zed. Don't get hung up on how fast your car is.. The only thing that matters is that you're happy when driving it. People who worry excessively about how fast their car is, often have very small..... He could of been running more HP than you!

Need help from FunkySi
Well, at last we can all rest in piece now... No-one on this site will ever own such a foul looking Zed as that. Why on earth have they extended the rear overhang by at least a foot? The rear wings look like something I constructed from Stickle-Bricks when about 3yrs old!! Not only that, but they've managed to make the front look tall and thin, thanks to that bonnet scoop (isn't a lambo supposed to be mid engined?), I wouldn't mind but it looked more like a lamborghini befor they fooking started. I can only hope that something very heavy falls on this man from a very great height. Nuff said.
