  1. Get a dial gauge on the rear disks to see iff you have run out on the end of shafts...my moneys on the propshaft,do as Groover has said and turn it 180 degree to try.
  2. I find using thou,s far easier in the workshop on the lathe ect but at work building and laying roofs i use metric except timber like Plywood sheets which is still old money but must be fixed against metric plans and drawings...Ahhhhh its all wrong:headvswal:headvswal
  3. Iff you look closely then you should be able to just make out the text on the warning light in black,it should read "shite rear lights fitted"

  5. My best year was right down in essex by the sea..cant think of the place right now but 2 members i met down there and always wanted to was Mr Joely P and Viniboy. The place was right at the ends of the earth and imho the best location by far:cool3:
  6. A weekend of thinking why is this so expensive..apart from having banter with our own members i always consided JAE as a complete rip off and one year my missus went to the main office demanding money back as it was that bad..

  14. nice to see a new sump plug washer getting used Gary...this gets overlooked 99% of the time and people over tighten to get a good seal resulting in stripped sump thread

Get them threads and bolt holes on that plenum protected Dan with nuts and bolts (old ones) or you will be in for a life of pain putting it back on:cursing:
  17. egg sackly...another hour could have the heads off.
  18. ahh i thought you had bought the normal C shaped type...carry on and goodluck
  19. Your spring compreser will be no good with the heads left on...What Jim means above is finding a way to compress the spring downwards while still being able to retrieve the small collets. As Jim says again it was dead easy years ago on stuff like the Ford Kent engines ect,the valves were not buried in the heads castings and iff you had your Weetabix that morning then your thumb and 1st finger could compress the springs:w00t:. Iff i still had an old zx head i would of fabricated a tool for you but completly no spares anymore here..
  20. I keep saying it and ile say it again Alan,as soon as the countrys doors get unlocked and the Americans make it another backyard play ground like Mexico they will turn it into another disneyland and fk it up mate...get there now folks before it gets invaded by the West i say:no:
  21. no the air is ballanced so you still need 1 1mm tip:wink:
