Heat guns can over heat in a nano second iff not used right and blister the paint..very hot water (not boiling) and pour over for 20 seconds or so then it will just pull off. To remove any glue residue i always used Zippo lighter fluid as it was not as harsh as other solvent based stuff including petrol.

Steve they are better screwed in using plumbers tape mate as a lot of NPT are on a taperd thread anyway going tighter as they screw in..that would of leaked using a copper washer so maybe a blessing in disgiuse:wink:
